This little processor does process the food well. But for some reason I have the worst luck with it. Its predecessor, an older dex processor, lasted 5 years through daily use (my daughter cannot have solid food). This one went dead within a week. Got a replacement, and that one said bye-bye in less than a month. I said bye- bye to Dex processors after that.
Bottom line...great little processor for small jobs. Great Customer service from the Dex representatives. For regular use...get something else.

I originally bought this product to make baby food, but barely used it when my son switched to chunkier food much sooner than I expected. I did however put it through LOTS of use when I was put on a mushy food diet for a couple weeks. It handled anything I put in there well. The only troubles I encountered, was when I put too much food in and had to keep going in an mixing it up to get it all mushed. Very happy, very durable product.
Good buy. Excellent baby shower gift too.

The product does get the food very smooth, however I ruined mine because the blade sits precariously on a tiny spindle in the middle. A piece of carrot got stuck underneath and knocked the blade off, while the motor (which is in the top of the unit) kept going. The blade spun around the bowl and scratched it up.
Other disadvantage is that every time I wanted to check on the consistency of the food I had to remove the motor and the "splash guard" lid.

I was looking forward to using this product along with my baby food making kit but this food processor seems to only be able to handle very small quantities of food. By small quantities I mean maybe 2-4 ounces at a time to be able to puree the food. I was quite disappointed. I wouldn't recommend it unless you plan on only making small quantities of food or food on a daily basis for your little one. Otherwise, it does it work.Customer Review: great so far

I used this in combination with a baby food cookbook, I steam everything first, and then just run it thru the processor. I have made fruit and veggies so far, and they all turn out great. The only downfall is that the directions that come with it are very basic. They do not mention steaming anything first, and this step is necessary for your babys tummy and for it to "mush" up. It really makes the entire process very easy.
