I nursed my first daughter for 9 months and my 2nd for over 10. I was trying to save money the first time around so I would use a blanket when out in public and twist it in my bra strap or hide in the corner and just flip a blanket over while I nursed. So often the blanket would fall from my shoulder, especially when she got bigger. This time I decided I was going to 'splurge' on one because I liked the print and tought it was worth a try. This product is WONDERFUL! The size is perfect, it cannot fall off, baby cannot pull it off. I'm a fairly small person (5'1" 125lbs) so if you are quite large it might not be as comfortable but it seems of ample size to me. This particular print is really pretty, the dark color and print keep spit up etc. from showing. I only needed to wash it 3 or 4 times and it never looked dirty. I would even resort to using it as a blanket on occasion. The only negative I can think of is that it wasn't great for nursing at the park in the hot GA summer because it absorbed the sun so well. I'd suggest a lighter color if you take older kids to the park etc. often. Also, I was disappointed when mine arrived with the lable "hooter hiders" when I thought I ordered a "baby au lait." I thought it was a little embarassing. The company uses both names and after I got over it I realized that it was actually good for a few laughs. I was often asked while out "where did you get that?" or "What is that called?" I'd always get a laugh when I said "It's called a Hooter Hider," but I know they were able to easily remember the name.
