Baby Products Reviews of Combi Flash EX Stroller Frame, BlackCustomer Review: Do NOT buy! Summary: 1 Stars
Do NOT buy this item if you value your child's safety. We purchased this item from Armitage Direct, to be used with a Combi Shuttle infant car seat. They advertised that the Flash EX and the Shuttle car seat were compatible. They were not. The seat simply sits on the frame, only held on by a thin strap. Nowhere does it lock. With this model of seat, there isn't even a notch for it to stay in place. It's much like putting your car seat on top of a wheeled table and rolling it around, and about that safe.
We contacted Armitage Direct (who runs [...]) to return it, and were told that the seat and frame were compatible and that it was our mistake, despite the fact that the Flash EX lists compatible seats in its owner's manual and the Flash EX is NOT listed. We got nothing but the runaround from them. Despite that, there's no way I'm putting my child in this. I'll be purchasing the Graco Snugride and the Graco Snugrider frame. Those actually fit together safely.
Short version: do NOT buy this frame if you value your child's safety, and do NOT buy from [...] if you value customer service.
Customer Review: Great Stroller! Summary: 4 Stars
I researched a lot and we decided to get this stroller. I decided against a travel system and couldn't be happier. This is so light weight, which is what I was looking for. Since we have a flight of stairs to get to our apartment it has been so great to fold quickly and take up the stairs. It even has a carry handle. I was looking for light weight and small and that is what we got. I have also tried the Kolocraft and Baby Trend snap and gos and they are nice but are still bulky and bigger than what I wanted. I also had a c-section and this was amazing when I couldn't lift my daughter. I just put her in this and took her from the car to our house, which I would not have been able to do by carrying her. The whole stroller is 8 pounds!
Customer Review: A TRAVELING MOM'S DREAM COME TRUE Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best investment I've made as a second-time-around mom. I absolutely LOVE how compact, light, and user-friendly this stroller is. I will use it more than the larger stroller that came with the car seat for sure (until Katelyn is no longer hanging out in her car seat). I would highly recommend this to ANY mom (as it takes up less trunk/car space and is easier to maneuver through tight aisles when shopping -- is even small enough to use at restaurants instead of using those flimsy sling/highchair setups for car seats), but ESPECIALLY for the traveling mom. It made working my way through airport terminals and on and off the plane SO much easier than it ever was with a bulky stroller. Worth EVERY PENNY!!!!
Customer Review: Excellent stroller Summary: 5 Stars
I have a Peg Perego car seat/carrier and was concerned this stroller wouldn't work. However, after removing two little pieces from the stroller (as discussed clearly in the instructions), the stroller was excellent. I've had it for a year and it has gone everywhere with me - airports, malls, parks, city streets, etc. The wheels aren't always the easiest to control, but the light weight and durability of this stroller makes up for any negatives it might have. We've recently outgrown the stroller and I was about to put it away in storage when it got stolen a few days ago! Hopefully another baby will benefit from it.
Customer Review: A must have for the combi shuttle Summary: 5 Stars
There's no way we could have even began to carry around our baby in the combi shuttle. It was just too heavy, and my wife got pregnant again right after we had our first baby, so she couldn't carry that around with a baby in it at all. This stroller frame is very easy to use, and made life easy for us. The Combi shuttle is probably the best car seat we've ever seen, and it was very secure and comfortable for our first baby, and our second will soon be using it. If you have a shuttle, you pretty much have to get this. It is a great thing to have.
