I was slightly disappointed by the Twlight Turtle. I was hoping for a nightlight for my son's room. I guess I expected that it would plug in and that I could sit it on his dresser and it would stay on all night but it was just the opposite. It takes batteries, it has to sit in the middle of the room about 4 feet from the ceiling and it only stays on for about 30 minutes. I still think it's cute and it does help the baby to go to bed but I still wish it would stay on all night so if he wakes up in the middle of the night he can look at the stars and fall back asleep without me getting up and turning it back on. I also thought it would rotate colors as it displayed but it only displays one color at a time. I don't know about you, but we do not have something in the middle of the room that we can set the turtle on - if we put it on his dresser it only displays on that area of the room - it really needs to be in the center to cover the entire ceiling. Even with my disappointments I still like this product.Customer Review: super cool nightlight.

my daughter begged and begged for this. at first i kept saying no because $32 plus tax is pretty expensive in my opinion. but i finally caved and let her buy it. she was able to test it out at the store and had a hard time choosing between the bluish/green one and the greenish/brown one. she finally decided on the greenish/brown because it had more stars on it. the newer blue/green one had less stars due to the fact that it had endangered animal buttons on it that light up (but doesn't show on ceiling). one thing super cool about the blue/green one is that it lets you light up both green and blue stars at the same time. while the green/brown one lets you do amber, green and blue...BUT separately. still super cool tho and daughter didn't regret her decision. her and her brothers absolutely loves it and is just so awed by it. turns off in 45 minutes. you can turn it off and on whenever you'd like unlike the older model that some reviewers owned. only thing missing is some soothing noises/music to come w/ it.Customer Review: Make Sure to Get Batteries for Day 1: Awesome Fun

I bought this product for my niece who is 3 1/2. Overall this is thing is awesome! She loves it. Only buy batteries to use with the product, as the included batteries are "display batteries" which will die pretty fast.
So let me tell you a little story. Once I gave this turtle to my niece, we turned on the lights and she immediately dragged it close to a wall. On the wall she saw the stars in varying colors. She really liked it. A couple of weeks later, I get a call from my brother (the father) who tells me about what she's doing with the toy. She loves it when she's in bed. AND when she gets out of bed in the night to go to the bathroom, she brings it with her and looks at the stars in the bathroom! Sometimes during the day, she brings the turtle close to the wall to see the stars too. Moreover, it does help her sleep (or at least call mommy and daddy over a little less by distracting her with something to do). Overall this thing rules and it makes me look like an awesome uncle!

My 3 1/2 year old has always hated going to bed. When we got her big girl bed, she was excited about it but was obviously afraid of the dark. Regular night lights didn't help. I was relegated to leaving lights on and having her take over an hour to fall asleep, only to wake up in the middle of the night hysterical that the light had been turned off (necessary for US to sleep). Our neighbors had gotten this as a gift for their baby but hadn't used it yet so I asked if I could borrow it. I truly didn't have very high expectations, but...instant success! She loved the turtle, and I loved that is gave off enough light to make her happy but not so much that it was stimulating and defeating the purpose. The first night she woke up a few hours later but rather than crying she just asked where the stars went and we told her they were sleeping and she had to go back to sleep too. The next day I purchased our own turtle and bedtime is much, much better in our house now. I highly recommend this product.Customer Review: AMAZING!!!!

My son and I LOVE this. I was a little hesitant to buy it at first. I have looked around at similar products and was not impressed with the reviews. My son is 15 months and sleeps with me in the same room. Every night we have a blast for about 30 mins in the dark playing with it pointing cuddling and laughing. My younger teenage sisters saw how cool it is and went and got them selfs the same with their Christmas money. I am going to buy one for each of my friends children and have already ordered one for both my nephews. I can't tell you enough how great this thing is. It is a little smaller than it looks in the picture but the stars are perfectly printed on the ceiling and walls. The colors are vibrant and strong. My son loves it. I love it. My sisters love it. Its easily my #2 item on my best purchases made for baby. (# 1 is a sling to carry him around, a must have!!) Its before even a crib, if thats not a good reason to buy this then I don't know what is. Evan a newborn would love it.
