Our kids are 2, 4, 8 yrs old, and we all love this turtle. My kids prefer the blue light, but my favorite is amber because it's easy on the eyes and soothing to look at before going to sleep. I'll never forget the night I slept early, and awoke to the sight of amber stars on my ceiling/walls. (My dh turned it on.) WOW! What a peaceful way to wake up.
Even with the hard shell, my kids like to hold it. The little ones take turns laying it on their bellies and watching the stars move with their breath. Sweet. And, my 8yr old has learned several constellations that he can now identify from the night sky, thanks to his turtle.
And genius point for me, I gave a Twilight Ladybug to my Mom when she was in the hospital. It was a comfort, even to a grown woman, and all her nurses fell in love with it, too. Better than flowers.
Next stop, ordering one now for my friend's new baby. It's the perfect gift for people who have everything (but the night sky on their ceiling).

I read all of the negative reviews first before I purchased this turtle for my son. I do not know what those people are talking about, they must just need to complain about something. We LOVE our new turtle friend. The only complaint is that he is a tad smaller then I had expected, I posted a pic with my cell phone in the top section. Anyway, the lights are wonderful,,the blue is really bright, followed by the green, and the amber is just like a real night sky..Not bright but you can still see the stars. My sons room is baby blue and we can see all of the colors just fine. There is an on/off button on the top of the shell along with the three buttons for changing colors. The constellations are kind of difficult to find, but the stars look like..wait for it..actual stars. There is also a moon. My sons room is 11x15 and we put the turtle on the floor in the middle of his room. The whole ceiling is covered with stars. He loves it. A must have!! And the shell is quite durable.Customer Review: A great idea, but a bit pricey

The Turtle Night Light is a great idea, combine a night light with star projections that light up the walls and ceiling. As soon as you unpack it, you'll realize that there's not much to the toy. It is very lightweight, has no sound, only three colors (one of which is very hard to see), and a hard plastic shell that makes it less than cuddly. The constellations are not easily recognized, because the stars spread out as they project away from the unit. This means that stars might be one inch in size on a nearby wall and ten inches across on a far wall. Shortcomings aside, the nightlight does work, spreading stars around the room in every direction. But as I examined the quality and features, I couldn't help but think that it could have been sold for about ten dollars. That said, my daughter likes it okay, and if it helps her to get to sleep, then it was a wise investment.

I bought this last year when I was expecting my daughter. It was the very first thing we bought for her cuz it seemed so very cute. Once she was born we placed it in her room, to use while she nursed at night. It was great while it lasted. My daughter wasn't even five months old when the lights stopped working. We changed the batteries, thinking that could be the problem but nope... the lights are still dead... We barely got to enjoy it for a few months, fifteen minutes each night....
Returning it woudn't even be an option since we live so far (south america) and would have to pay for the shipping to our PO box in Miami!!!
UPDATE: I wrote to the Cloud B Costumer service, not expecting a refund or an exchange, but only to see if they could suggest a way to fix the products flaw. Their answer was: "Unfortunately, we cannot do anything on this particular problem as this item is well beyond our warranty period." Hope they could be a little more helpful. Very disapointed.

I search the web for weeks looking for something to put stars on the ceiling of my grandbabies room. I have a 3 1/2 year old girl and a 1 1/2 year old boy. I looked at fluorescent paint, stick-ons, stars you have to stick down through your ceiling, etc. All were either cheap looking or very expensive to do. Then I came across this. It was a great price and a great item. The kids love it. The stars are big stars, not just dots, with a moon and constellations. Depending on the size of your room, the stars can be on the walls also, but they definitely fill up the ceiling. It is not hot to the touch. They can even put it in the bed with them. I sit it on the table between their beds and it is great. The green and blue lights are the best - they are the brightest. The amber (I call red) stars are alot dimmer, but great for someone that wants the room a little darker. All in all, it was a terrific buy. No painting, no hassel. Just install batteries and you are done.
