i was afraid because reviews and youtube videos always show a ladybug next to the wall to show stars, so i was afraid of buying an item that just can reflect stars if is close to the wall to prompt the stars, anyway ibought it and as soonn as it came i've opened it and turn it on, next step put the ladybug on the ground and its perfect!! it reflects to the roof great, if you want to see constelations u'll have to put it on the center of the room.
pros: reflects the roof even if it's on the ground, colors are great and lovely design
cons: use batterys to work, there must be some li-ion baterrys rechargeable and not AA bateries

My three year old loves her lady bug, it keeps her company as she falls asleep. The stars don't really look like stars where the light hits the ceiling, there are no recognizable constellations and I don't bother setting it up on something to elevate it. The batteries last forever, it shuts off automatically after so much time and, most importantly, it makes my little girl happy. The lady bug casts a crescent moon shape among the stars. Each night I position the moon in a different area and the last thing she does before she falls asleep is finds the moon on the ceiling. Any toy that can make a child happy on a daily basis is money well spent.Customer Review: Great toy and nightlight

I have seen the Twilight Turtle in the past and always wanted one for my son's room. I read the reviews, though, and heard that one color of the lights was very hard to see and that some people were disappointed. Therefore, I decided to get the Twilight Ladybug since it was new, and I figured they would have improved it. I tried out the ladybug, and I love it! All of the colors are very crisp and clear, and I like how it has a built in timer. I am going to save it for my son when my new baby is born so he has something special to look at while he goes to sleep. I received as a gift, and have not read any reviews. And, don't need to. My 2 yr old daughter, all of a sudden didn't like sleeping with the lights out. Then, this gift arrived, and "LIGHTS OUT". No pun intended. The first thing she does is turn the lights out before she gets into bed now. It comes in 4 different colors, but blue is the only color that will show on the ceiling. Her wall colors are light as well as her curtains, thus the room doesn't get very dark at any point. But, the blue stars do shine rather clear on the ceiling. I recommend it to anyone who is having troubles getting jr to go to sleep with lights off.Customer Review: Better than any nightlight

This ladybug has helped my 2 year old daughter stay in her bed when she wakes up suddenly in the middle of the night. It is very comforting to her. There are many times I come to check on her before I go to bed and she has re-illuminated it. She sleeps with it right next to her and can turn it on whenever she wants so if she is frightened in the middle of the night instead of coming out of her room screaming she turns on her "bug"
The red and green do not illuminate as well as the blue which doesn't matter to us because my daughter prefers the blue everynight.
Great Gift Idea for any age.
