We got this for our four year old daughter for Christmas because her friend had the turtle version and she thought it was cool. Our daughter loves ladybugs, so this was perfect. She absolutely adores this -- she uses it every night -- she loves to turn it on and off and change the colors herself (some colors show up on the walls and ceiling better than others, but they're all fairly bright while not too bright to be distracting) -- she sometimes takes it around to different rooms with her before bedtime too. She loves to spot the moon after she turns it on. When she's ready to turn it on she'll say, "I have to go get my ladybug and turn on the planetarium." We love it -- it's well-made, really cute, and a great value for the price.Customer Review: THREE TIMES A LADYbug

I have purchased this Night Light three times now, two for baby showers and one for my little one to try and get her to sleep in her own room and bed. Although my daughter is still not sleeping in her room or bed (ladybugs are good luck charms, not miracle workers), we still love looking at the stars in all different colors. When we turn it on, it covers the walls and ceiling and truly transforms the room into a starry night. The LED lights are bright and we have yet to use the battery up after 6 months of continued use.
I am going to keep buying these as gifts as long as my friends keep asking me for "must wants" (its not a must-have), I'll keep getting these for the girls and turtles for the boys!

We purchased the turtle a couple of years back and my daughter always wanted the color red to illuminate her room, (the turtle has yellow, green and blue lights). We have recently purchased the twilight ladybug and while it has red, our elder child still sticks with the color blue when she borrows her sister's ladybug. The constellations on the ladybug are a lot larger than those on the twilight turtle, and while our infant is too young to understand, I think she'll love it as much as her sister. The power on/off button on the shell is a good improvement from the turtle, whose power off option is hidden on the underside of the turtle instead of conveniently on the shell.

We and our daughter love this. She actually takes it to bed with her, it is super soft like a stuft animal with the hard shell on top and she just loves to take it to bed and push all the buttons and change the colors.
The only problem we have with it (which really isn't a problem for a 3 year old) is that it must be centered in the room and fairly close to the ceiling to actually see the stars perfectly on the ceiling. The only thing we have tall enough is the hutch on the dresser and it is to the side of the room so it gets cramed over there. When she takes it to bed, it sprawls the stars largely all over the walls, etc. Not a big deal, but does take away from the "celestial learning".

A great toy for infant to adult. Difficult to find in stores and is new. Projects constellations on your ceiling in either red, blue or green. Comes with a star chart, batteries, story of the lucky lady bug, and owners certificate. It is large, lightweight and adorable! Has a 45 minute shut-off timer.
The only drawbacks to this toy are the fact that the constellations do not move, are not very bright, even from the recommended distance of 6 feet away, and if you are looking for a toy that projects and plays music, this one does not play any music. All-in-all, it's still a cute toy. Purchased one for our infant daughter but hubby likes to put it on before he falls asleep; lol.
