Baby Products Reviews of Cloud b Twilight Constellation Night Light, Lady BugCustomer Review: Lady bug night light cloud b Summary: 4 Stars
My daughter loves her lady bug! She is 4yrs old now. We have had it for a yr now and are ready for another one as the buttons are starting to sink in and stick. It sits at the foot of her Full size bed and stars glow on her entire ceiling. We use the blue and green. It's so pretty. It was very frustrating in the beginning to find that it shuts off after 45 min. My daughter would cry in the dark and we'd have to go in and turn it back on. I solved that problem by purchasing a homedics alarm clock/sound machine combo! Wheeee! The light on the clock is so bright it acts as a night light so when the stars on the ladybug turn off in her room her "night light" clock is still on. We have an 18 mth old son who just loves the starts too. So when he gets into a big boy bed we will get him the turtle. He is such a good sleeper that i don't want to mess with our routine by putting a distraction like this in his room. LOVE THESE!!!!!
Customer Review: A Perfect Night Light! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my almost 2 year old daughter. We recently moved into a new house and she was having some trouble falling asleep at night. Our new place is much quieter and darker than the old apartment. Enter the Twilight Lady Bug! She LOVES to fall asleep looking at the stars and will change the colors and turn it on and off. It makes her feel secure to know she has a light she can control. Her favorite thing to do is "spot the moon" on the ceiling while we are star gazing in her bed. If the moon ends up on the wall she says "oh no!" and turns the bug until the moon is above her bed. The stars look best in a dark room so this doesn't really work for nap time. The three color settings each have their own brightness: blue (brightest), green (middle), red (least bright). When shopping for night lights I was glad I came across this. I have a feeling I will be ordering one for her baby sister soon!
Customer Review: enchanting! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the this for my 3 month old daughter and she absolutely loves it! The first time we turned it on she was mesmerized by the light show it created on her bedroom walls and ceiling. It is much bigger than i thought it would be...I'd say the diameter of the shell is close to 10". The cool thing is that the shell glows beautifully in the dark, red being the brightest but projecting the weakest stars since the glowing shell illuminates the room quite a bit thus diffusing the detail of the stars. The blue is our favorite with very detailed stars and a mellow blue glow to the room. The green lights are cool too. Overall this is a great product...i bought the turtle version for my friend's 4 year old and she loves it. I would probably get one of these for myself even if i did not have a kid! Oh, and we've gotten about two months use out of it with no sign of weakening batteries. Highly recommend!
Customer Review: A sweet product Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this product for my 7 month old daughter. My son (2) has the Twilight turtle. We have always liked the turtle, but there were some flaws. For example, the yellow did not show up on the ceiling/walls no matter where it is placed in the room, and there is no off button. So it goes through batteries because my son is constantly turning it on at all times of the day. With this being said my son will not go to sleep without the turtle. We even take it on vacations. As mentioned I bought the lady bug for my daughter. I had planned on buying her the turtle, but when I saw the bug I couldn't resist. Cloud B has made some modifications since the turtle and they are for the better. The on button is also an off button. They removed the yellow and replaced it with a red, which is to be used as a nightlight....it does not project the stars. So far I do not have any complaints.
Customer Review: Very Happy! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased the twilight turtle several years ago for my daughter and now the twilight ladybug for my son. Both are great. I noted that a couple of the reviewers thought the lights weren't bright enough. My advice - be sure your batteries are good. When they start to run out of juice the stars become very dim to the point that only the shell is lit up.
Secondly, several reviewers have complained that it doesn't do more (i.e. play music and spin). To this, I say "Geez, shall it also forward email, receive phone messages, and send faxes to your boss?" The idea with this product is that children can lay it on their beds, its soft and snuggly, and not easily broken. It's simple and more than functional...its beautiful.
As a final perk, my daughter is now old enough that we really enjoy finding the constellations together. It's a great product.
