For both of my children, I use this sleep sheep. I set it to the "stream" and my children fall asleep within minutes. It is also nice to take when my children are sleeping in a foreign place such as on vacation or at a family members or friends house. It is a constant sound that they are familiar with. For my son, it helped me to get him to sleep through the night. Early on I would play it for him and he would fall asleep. In the middle of the night I would do the same. Within days, he was sleeping through the night. The sleep sheep works like a charm!! I HIGHLY recommend it and I actually purchase it for all of my pregnant friends.Customer Review: product as advertised

I received this item as a gift and have been using it for about two months. So far we have had no problems with it. We use it fairly regularly on the 45 minute setting and have not had to replace the batteries yet. I find the volume goes as loud as I want it to go and rarely use it turned all the way up. I also find that I don't need more than 45 minutes of the white noise so the fact that it lacks a continuous mode doesn't bother me. It's a wonderfully soft stuffed animal... totally cuddleable. Although I don't think we'll ever use it for that as it serves a much better purpose as a white noise machine in a very cute stuffed sheep body.Customer Review: we love our sleep sheep!

Our baby really is soothed by this great device, and actually, so are her parents! We love to hear the gentle sounds when going to sleep, especially the ocean waves and the rain settings. We haven't made much use of the whale song setting.
Besides the great sounds, the plush sheep package is ingenious...very soft, very cute. The velcro loop is a nice touch as well, because you aren't supposed to have anything sitting in the crib while baby is sleeping.
As another reviewer noted, it would be nice if there was a continuous mode, although we find that the 23 minute setting is usually fine (but why 23 minutes?)

I received this item as a Christmas gift for my 5 month old. I was using a Fisher Price fish tank ($45) to lull her to sleep. The fish tank would only play for 18 minutes and I would have to restart it if she didn't get to sleep. The sleep sheeps 45 minute option is perfect to get her to drift off and sleep ALL NIGHT long! The volume controll is perfect as well. The louder the better!
Not only does the sleep sheep help at night time, but we make sure he is with us everywhere. When the sleepies hit, we just start him up and she is out in no time without crying!
I would recommend the sleep sheep to anyone!!

This sleep sheep is great! We brought it with us to the hospital, and from the very first time she slept after birth, we had it in her bassinet. By one day old, she was already loving her sheep. When she would get tired and fussy and not know what to do, we would turn on the sheep to the "stream"/water sound, and within a minute or two she would drift off. Once we got her home, we would use it any time she was having trouble falling asleep. It works like a charm! She's three months old now, and doesn't need it very often, but we still keep it handy and use it several times a week. A great investment in your family's sleep!
