We weren't that impressed. Yes, the sheep is cute and it appears to be well made. However, the sound effects were lacking. The heartbeat sound wasn't that great and the whale sound effect was just plain freaky sounding. It creeped me out. I tried this sheep for two weeks but my son still doesn't like it. Now we just play a rain sound track on the ipod we put in his room. It works MUCH better. He likes the sound better and we can have it repeat the track as often as we want, unlike the sheep which turns itself off. Plus, no batteries are required for the ipod. I think this is more for parents who just want to buy something cute.Customer Review: Great Idea for noisy environments

My wife and I got this as a gift for our second child. We really like this a lot, especially if you believe in white noise helping a baby sleep. We live in a noisy environment (daytime hours), so this is helpful in putting the baby down for a nap.
Besides the softness and cute design of a sheep, it is designed well because it is easy to 'install' on a crib or play-yard. The noise selections are great as is the timer option. Our newborn is sleeping in our room right now, and we even appreciated the noise.
We like this so much, we would give it as a gift in a heartbeat.

I was hopeful that this would help lul my infant to sleep to help train her to fall asleep in her crib. She did seem to calm to the "rain" sound, but it took her about 20 minutes to drift off, so just as she actually fell asleep, it abruptly turned off, waking her up immediately. So we purchased an actual white noise machine (which is also an alarm clock/radio), which we love. I also like that I also have options of playing the radio with it and have many sounds to choose from rather than being limited to only 4 with the sleep sheep. Though this is cute, I recommend spending money one something more practical.Customer Review: Love this - we use it everyday as part of our bed time routine!

We love this sheep! We use it every night as a part of our bed time routine. We've used it since our little girl was born, and she's now almost 8 months and it's still part of our nightly routine. She knows when she starts hearing the "Oceans" sound, that it's time to relax and settle in for bed. It's also great for when we have guests over and making a lot of racket.. it acts as nice white noise to drown out the sound a bit if she's asleep. (And it's adorable looking to boot.) We love this! We even bought the travel version since we go to the beach a lot in the summer. Definitely highly recommend.Customer Review: Not as nice as I thought it would be

I was looking everywhere for a stuffed animal to put in the crib that mimicked a mother's heartbeat. This one does have that feature, however it does not sound true to a real heartbeat. The rain and ocean sounds are nice, the whale sounds are like something from a scary movie though. I will probably not use it as much as I would have liked. Also, the fuzz comes off very easily on the lamb. It would not survive being washed or even spot cleaned very many times. It does look cute in the crib though. I will still continue to look for a better one and will send this back if I can find a new one in time.
