Customer Review: Good idea, TERRIBLE quality

I was surprised, given the rave reviews of this product, of the incredibly poor quality. I will start by saying my son seems to like this lamb and it is a great solution to having a white noise machine (which he uses at home) at daycare. But given that A) I have had this product for about 3 months, B) have washed it just twice, and C) it gets light use, just 1 nap/day at daycare, it is in AWFUL condition. Looks like it has been through a war. Just took it out of the washer and an ear has fallen off! The fleece is matted and the plastic netting foundation is showing in many small patches. So glad I didn't pay more expensive prices I have seen in stores.Customer Review: Cute, but no heartbeat

This is a cute, fluffy little attachable toy for a child's crib, but the first sound that we all listened for, was the "heartbeat," which we were all familiar with from other "sleep machines." This poor little thing contains a
heartbeat sound that sounds more like warfare, or a jack-hammer going off in the street. This was very disappointing, because quite un-usable for that sound (which we really wanted). However, the other sounds were
pretty typical and gentle enough, and the "whale" sound was it's selling feature. It was very unique and gentle.
Were it not for that, I would have returned the product because of the "heartbeat" sound.

We received one of these as a gift and tried it with our newborn baby girl. After 10 weeks it is hard to imagine sleep with out it. Our little one seems to find the noises calming and sleep better with it on. The "sleep sheep" produces 4 different noises that are calming, from a heartbeat to an ocean, etc. There is one noise that we have found annoying but have chosen not to use that setting. We have not had to change the battery yet.
The sleep sheep has been so helpful that we have given it as a baby shower present twice now. If you have a little one on the way or are looking for a shower gift, we would recommend the "sleep sheep".

This has been a vital part of our daily life with our newborn. She is now 4 months old, and we have used it everyday. It is a great soother. We mostly use the ocean wave sound with our baby during nap times. It helps here to sleep soundly and blocks some noises so she doesn't get startled in her sleep so easily. I use the rain setting when I lay her in her crib for just a few minutes. I tell her I am coming right back and she stays calm until I pick her back up. Recently we took her on her first trip to visit family, and we were sure to pack the sleep sheep. I highly recommend the Cloud B sleep sheep. Our two year old got one of these as an infant and the 'rain' noise has been a staple to help him fall asleep since. His "Sheepie" is a close companion even when the noise is not playing. We bought another one just last week to give as a baby gift, and found that they had upgraded a little. Our sleep sheep only plays 23 minutes of noise, but the newer model give you the option of the noise lasting 23 minutes or 45 minutes. That's a nice addition, as the 23 minutes sometimes is too short. We have machine washed and dried this MANY times and it seems to be standing up to the beatings a washing machine can give a stuffed animal.
