they are not the best but they are not the worst either. i have cloth diapered 3 kids and have tried well over 4 dozen types and styles be it from a manufacturer or whams. I have used tie nappies, flats, prefolds, fitteds, pockets, and all in ones as well as every type of cover known to man. I have even made several of my own diapers, covers, and all in ones over the years. All that said, they are a fair aio for the price. I give it 4 stars because you really are hard pressed to find a better all in one diaper for the money. I have used and made better but for a higher cost...its one of those you get what you pay for deals. Personally I think fuzzibunz are about the best choice out there and by far the most trim and absorbant cloth diaper you can find if you use the microfiber inserts not the hemp as it takes 2 hemp inserts to equal 1 microfiber in absorbancy (if you dont mind synthetic fiber diapers fuzzi bunz are the best, for natural fiber diapers I like the under the nile organic cotton fitteds with a thin jersey wool cover for day time and the same diaper with a thicker wook cover or even wool soaker for night. but both these options will run you MUCH more money) The plus side is that fuzzi bunz fetch a pretty penny on auction sites even used so they are actually the best investment. The last batch I sold of outgrown USED fuzzibunz went for $12 per diaper with insert...I only spent $14 per diaper with insert new! (though I got a discount because of the quantity I ordered and got my inserts free...and shipping free, lol)
For those that have a wetness problem only around the legs it could be the detergent you are using. Some detergents can cause natural fibers to REPEL liquid. (trust me here, I have been doing this and giving advice on cloth diapering for YEARS to HUNDERDS of parents via chatrooms, emails, and websites)It could be that the pee basicly splashes out the sides of the diaper because the fiber is not absorbing it quickly enough. This can be fixed by striping the diaper and changing your detergent. Just go to any cloth diaper chat room and a vet like myself can explain the process for you step by step.
As for having to change the diaper more often...all I have to say is a diaper is not a wearable toilet and should not be used as such weather you cloth or use sposies. Just ask any pediatrician, you are supposed to change it as soon as its soiled! Would you want to sit in your own urine or feces for 2 hours? Guess what? A baby dosent either. The baby should be changed as soon as possible when they soil themselves, this is not a contest to see how much you can pack in for the longest period of time.
