Baby Products Reviews of Chicco Deluxe Hook-On High Chair - Nature PatternCustomer Review: On the go mom Summary: 5 StarsThis chair is GREAT.. Our family likes to travel so this chair makes it much easier. And our son loves the fact he can be at the table with us. I love how it has a bag to carry it. And that it is easy to set up. It has been just about everyware. We even take it when we go out to dinner. Not all places have the safest or cleanest highchairs.
Customer Review: LOVE THIS CHAIR!! Summary: 4 StarsI researched these types of chairs before I bought this one. I was a little hesitant because most of the reviews state it is hard to 'take along' anywhere because it isn't convenient to fold up. After purchasing this myself, I have found that once you learn how to take it apart, it fits nicely in the carry bag it came with and is really pretty convenient. I do agree, however, (the reason for four stars instead of five) that it doesn't work at a lot of places due to the fact that it must be used with a four-legged table. I have found that even some four-legged tables are a little unstable with it.
All-in-all, I am very happy with it and my daughter really seems to enjoy sitting right there with us at the table. She is 14 months and I just purchased it for her first birthday. I wish I would have researched it long before because she would have liked it much sooner.
Customer Review: sturdy/convenient, better than traveling with a high chair Summary: 4 StarsIt's definitely convenient and sturdy. It requires some putting together which is no big deal. the colors are great.
I wish I could push it in further though. Seems to be a lot of space between my son and the table, so I have to cover his whole stomach and lap with a cloth diaper.
Customer Review: The best portable chair ever! Summary: 5 StarsI have to say that I love this chair. We bought this when my son was 7 months old so that we could travel and go out to dinner. The restaurant highchairs are so uncomfortable and I could never get my son to sit in it for longer than 5 minutes. This chair is great because its comfortable and he is able to be at the table with us. We even use it everyday at home, it's either attached to our kitchen island or the coffee table. My son loves to hang out and play while I do dishes or cook.
The only thing I have never figured out is how to fold it to get it in the carry bag. I used to take it apart, but now I just carry the chair without folding it and forget the carry bag all in all.
I would definitely buy this chair again and highly recommend it!
Customer Review: Handy in awkward situations Summary: 4 StarsThis item was designed to be used in locations other that your own kitchen/home. So the portablility of the seat should be a concern. In this regard it is not optimal. To collapse the chair, you need to push in little chrome nubs. Not the most ergonomic thing for your fingers -- even for a guitar player/ninja. Also the "nubs" are somewhere beneath the fabric of the seat -- and I always forget where. How about an "X marks the spot" Chicco!
When I do manage to collapse the chair it is still about as cumbersome as carrying a tote bag (in addition to the numerous other things you will be carrying, no doubt).
Once the chair is in use though, it is GREAT. I don't worry about finding a sanitary highchair. Also if you dine at a booth, the baby doesn't have to be in an aisle. In short, it is usable in various seating arrangements. It seems comforable for baby so I imagine it extends the amount of time you have before meltdowns.
Also fyi, people always ask where you got it.
