Baby Products Reviews of Bugs On BoardCustomer Review: Baby says "Wow!" Summary: 5 Stars
When I bought these bugs for my 2 months old boy I anticipated him to get attracted; but his reaction exceeded all my expectations. When he saw these toys hanging on his bouncer he said his first "Wow!" :-) Or, whatever he said, definitely meant a big Wow. I had never seen him that excited before. My little man was even more attracted when he discovered that the bugs have crunchy wings, they rattle and the dragonfly buzzes. Toys came in different colors then shown on the picture; but they look even nicer. The size is perfect also: enough to attract an infant's attention, but not too big so he can hold them easily. He can spend 30 minutes or even more kicking these toys, touching wings and even talking to them! The bugs became his best friends - and mine too because, while he is busy with them in his bouncer or crib, I can spare time for some homework.
Customer Review: It's like baby crack!! Summary: 5 Stars
I have no idea what it is about these bugs, but they keep my 3-month old daughter entertained in the car seat like nothing else. She generally fusses when being put in her carrier because she's a "hold me" kind of kid, but then she glimpses "Bug" and starts grinning like seeing an old friend. I'm astonished at the amount of time she'll stare contentedly at her bug friends, and get such a kick out of her joy at seeing them.
From a safety perspective, these are a great find. Because they're very securely attached with long, wide velcro strips, I'm not concerned about them flying off and striking Emily in the event of a collision. Even if that were to happen, they're soft with no hard parts, so it's the ideal car seat toy.
All in all, the best $6.99 I ever spent! :)
Customer Review: So Entertaining! Summary: 5 Stars
My son got these for Christmas when he was 4 months old. We put them on his carseat, and he loves them! Every time we take a car ride, I can hear him playing with them. He crinkles them and bats at them and jabbers to them. He used to cry on every car ride, and now he spends quite a while playing with these little bugs. They've been a lifesaver for us. Also, when I bring him in from the car, he will watch the bugs swing around for a few minutes while I remove my coat, put up a few groceries, etc. I've read reviews that were negative towards the vibrating feature on the round bug, or towards the rattling beads in the dragonfly, but honestly, my son couldn't care less. He's not strong enough to pull the vibrating bug anyway. He loves them just as much.
Customer Review: Great bugs! Summary: 5 Stars
My son is 12 weeks old and we love these bugs! They are very adorable and very safe.
We have them attatched to his carrier all the time. He LOVES staring at them and if we put the carrier in a cart or on a table and we dangle them over him, he swats at them and giggles! They are soft and brightly colored, perfect for a little baby. There are velcro straps around them so it can attatch to anything, like the bar on our playard, carriers, changing table, dangling them over him, playmats, and even on his swing!
I dont think that these bugs are scary at all, as another reviewer mentioned. I think they are adorable and friendly. I have bought 2 more sets so we always have em' around... The only bugs I have ever loved!
Customer Review: GREAT FOR PRETEND PLAY! Summary: 5 Stars
I have a 1 yr old grandson that I babysit. I attached these bugs to my furniture drawer pulls, and then I hold the bug up, describe it to him, and "fly" it up and down and round and round, changing the buzz sound I make to correlate. The little bug "talks" to him, saying "Hi Cole, won't you play with me, etc". You can make the bug "zap" him for fun, or play tag when he tries to grab it.
My grandson is intrigued and excited about the bugs. They are so cute, you can count the legs, point out the facial features, colors and shapes on the bug, and say "low" and "high" when you move the bug around.
I think they are educational and inspire imaginary play in our young ones, but it takes an adult to make it happen!
