Customer Review: Cute toy, but DO NOT use in the car, this is a safety hazard! PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW!

This is a cute toy, and will entertain your baby, but I am seriously concerned to read about so many parents who are using this in a moving car! [...] All carseat toys for infant carriers are intended to be used when the car is NOT moving. Even a cute little soft suffed animal can become a very nasty projectile in the event of a 70 mile an hour crash. I know all you parents out there would never intentionally put your baby in danger - I didn't know about this before either. Just PLEASE do not use this toy, or any other toy in a moving car, especially attached to the handle of your infant carrier. Imagine what could happen to your poor baby if that little cute toy were thrown at him or her at over 70 mph. It's not worth the few minttes of quiet you get in the car - save the toys for when you are not driving! You will also find that you are not supposed to leave the handle of the infant carrier in the up position in a moving car - it interferes with the seat performing properly in a crash. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take this review seriously, and stop using this toy when you are driving. Any loose item in your car can become a projectile if you are in a serious crash. How horrible would it be if your car seat did its job and protected your baby, but something else in the car killed or hurt her (or him)? Once I learned all this, I quit using the car seat toys when driving, and moved all the loose items in my car into the trunk. Protect your baby and do the same thing!Customer Review: Is it just me?

I was not nearly as impressed with this as the other reviewers. I have only just today started using them, so time will tell how baby feels about them, and that is what really counts, I guess. As for me, I was unimpressed as soon as I took them out of the box. It just bugs me (pun intended) when a product doesn't look as good as the pictures on the box. Also, one of the bugs is shown on the box with little beads in its clear plastic tail that supposedly rattle. Well, not only are the beads packed in there too tight to rattle, but there was a thin yellow fabric covering the tail that almost completely obscured them from view. I suppose that second layer of material was added as a safety precaution to keep the beads out of baby's mouth should the clear plastic material split. Begging the question, why would you put small beads in a toy that children can get in their mouths? I would have returned them to the store, but my curiosity got the better of me and I cut the yellow fabric off the one bug to see what the deal was. Now I am not comfortable letting him play with that one since it seems there is a potential hazard. Well, at least they are only $8.99, and if he likes them, great. But I'm sure there must be a better product out there.Customer Review: These bugs should ALWAYS be on board!

I have two sets of these Bugs for my twin sons, now about 6 weeks old.
Theres not much to entertain them while we are shopping, and they are still in the infant carriers, so I started to try them out about 2 weekends ago while planning to spend the day at the mall with my friend and our newborns. WOW... I cannot emphisize how much my boys love these things! They stare wide-eyed at them, or (if I give one to them) they will attempt to hold it, and use it as a pacifier. The one that buzzes makes them even happier, although only me or my husband can pull it. They also make jingle noises and squeaky noises, all which entertains them. I love the different colors and textures, as well as the virsitility! They are also great on the swing, the changing table, and I even hang them off of the PNP with the extendable velcro strap! My friends 4 month old is absolutely amazed by them, and loves pulling and tugging them while on his carrier.
I can only imagine how much fun they will be as the boys grow, but I just wish they would also come out with MORE bugs, or maybe other animals, as they are so fun and cute! Great toy, great price, great toy-span (as I call the amount of time the toy will be played with). Highly reccomended!

My daughter loves her bugs on board. We bought them when she was born and have watched her develop with her bugs on board. When she was 0-3 months, she would stare at them passively. The high contrast and bright colors were good for her to focus as her eye's developed. Starting at about 4 months she developed the motor skills to hit and grab at the bugs on board.
If you have a travel system, they are always with the car seat whether you're at home, in the car, in the stoller or even on an airplane. We traveled to three countries and bugs on board was attached to her infant seat the whole time. (We saw bugs on board for 3x the price at some fancy baby store in London). While its true, most infant car seat toys stay attached to the seat, bugs on board is small and soft so that you don't have to be concerned baby hitting hard plastic when taking baby out of the car seat, putting her in the car seat or in a car accident. When we reg for our twins i think we totaly forgot about cute practical things like these. My friend bought us 4 sets of these cute little bugs. To keep on both sets of infant carseats My babies really like them and im so happy she got them for us. We put these on when the babies were about 2 weeks old and now at almost 6 months they still love to stare at them. Sometimes when we run earns i just take one down and give them to the babies to chew on, shake, or rattle around with. They get a lot of mouth time now since they are teething. I have washed them a few times already just cuz we spent time some at other ppls homes and their children were chewing and carrying around with the bugs quit a bit. I just wash them in the sink with cold water and woolite and let them air dry. They still are in great shape. They come in great for those long car rides to visit family. Each of the bugs do something diffrent. All around this is a great product!
