Baby Products Reviews of Bugaboo Frog Complete Stroller Color: OrangeCustomer Review: Even my 3 year old loves our Frog! Summary: 4 Stars
I had to write a review after reading the one who said her baby stopped fitting in her frog. That doesn't make any sense as my 3 year old - who is a big boy! - LOVES his frog still. We are expecting a new baby any day, and I think my son is going to be really jealous when she takes over his stroller. My son's favorite thing about this stroller is that he can lie completely flat and I put a blanket on him, put down the canopy and he feels so safe and secure. It is also so fun to be able to move the handle bar back and forth so easily as you're walking. You won't believe how often this feature is used! If he is facing forward and there is sun in his eyes, I just rotate the stroller so that he's now facing me while we walk. He loves it! I would say that the major drawback to this stroller- aside from the obvious high price tag- is the amount of room it takes up in your trunk! We have a jeep grand cherokee so there is plenty to room, but not much room left for other stuff with the stroller inside. It also took me awhile to open the stroller- I figured it out now, but it's not quite as easy or quick as say a Graco travel system or one of those snap n go's. Taking the stroller apart into the 2 pieces is very easy and seems quick enough. The bag underneath is great, and I actually love where the break is because I hang shopping bags or my purse from the brake attached to the handlebar. Overall, I LOVE my frog, wouldn't trade it for anything and feel proud walking around with it wherever I go.
Customer Review: The most overpriced baby item available Summary: 1 Stars
I used this stroller for my daughter (she is my second) at my in-laws and I have found it to be terrible. Not only is it heavy, when taken apart to put in the car it takes up literally the entire trunk (Rav 4). It takes two hands to do anything with it and there is no snack tray for a toddler. I used it on the beach this weekend and find their claim that it is good for the beach to be a joke, as you have to tilt the stroller to pull it (or, you could just use a jogging stroller, and actually walk/run normally on the sand). Speaking of, you can't run with this stroller, so you'd have to buy a separate jogger anyway, if you're into that. I use a chicco at my house with a snack tray, which also reclines ($120) and used a McClaren Volo for my older daughter (best one-hand-fold that exists and the lightest stroller ever--still have and use after 6 years). I am a runner and also use an amazing lightweight jogging stroller ($140). In fact, if I add up all I've spent on strollers for both my daughters (ages 9 mos and 7) it would still be less than the price of this one. I honestly can't figure out why anyone would pay this amount.
Customer Review: good, but not the best Summary: 3 Stars
Before to get pregnant, I already have choose the stroller for my future baby. Even thought it was really price, but it's ok when you think that it is the best. It was ok, my baby it is 4 months old, until I lend to my girlfriend daughter which is 19 months, she was huge for the stroller. Off course I got desperate!!!!! I used for 1 month since I bought at end of December and does not worth at all.
Off course nobody wants to take back, the store or the company ( even I barely used), so what to do?Sell where everybody buys every thing.
Before to buy, please make a test with a older baby, because I'll say that my I'll be using just for 2 years and not 3 -4 years which I was expecting.
Customer Review: problems Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this bugaboo for my newborn son because it is versatile and solid. After mounting it, I inflated the back tires with the pump provided (not an easy task, because the pump is really small): twenty minutes later, one of the tires EXPLODED. I found out that it is not an uncommon problem. I sent an email to their customer service and they did not reply in the next 24 hours. I called and a customer service representative naturally gifted with bad manners told me that they will send a replacement for the exploded tire. Delivery time: 7 business days, which basically means two weeks between the explosion and my possibility to use the stroller. Way too long for a new baby!
Customer Review: Yes, the Bugaboo is worth it. Summary: 5 Stars
Yes, the Bugaboo is worth it. We bought a "Frog" almost two years ago for our first daughter. For the first 3 months of her life, the Bugaboo was her mobile bassinet [hint: we didn't buy a standalone bassinet since the bugaboo has one and saved $].
We bought the frog, rather than the Cameleon because we (a) were OK with the solid color and (b) neither one of us needed the ability to extend the handlebars (if you're 6' or taller, you might).
Our Bugaboo has made lots of trips with us and we've had no problem gate-checking it on the plane.
Rides like a champ. Durable. Stylish.
