Customer Review: Great value! Wish I would have purchased it sooner!
Summary: 5 Stars

I did a ton of shopping around for this seat. My Son is 20 months old and weighs about 37 lbs. He is about 38 inches tall also. Between these to measurements he was about to outgrow or convertible car seat. I was not comfortable with him being in a booster or lap-positioning seat at this time even thought legally he would meet the requirements in a few months. There was no way, he would have had the seat belt off before I was even out of the drive way. So I needed to find a seat that would work for a larger child. This is perfect! It is not any wider than my convertible car seat at the base but my son is much more comfortable and this seat will last us until I am comfortable with him in a booster. The price was a bit high with other places that sold the seat but I'm glad I shopped around because amazon.com has the best deals. I paid about $100 less with amazon than I would have with other companies. Great Value!

Customer Review: Fabulous!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Love this car seat for our daughter! I like the fact that it's not all crushed velour and only the sides of the cushioning are. Where baby sits and up the back of the car seat has this wonderful material that can be washed easily and will be cooler during the Summer months when shorts are worn. (velour can get quite sweaty during the Summer). The color is beautiful. The car seat also has very easy installation instructions. Very high quality, and very safe baby seat. With all that said I also need to add that I wouldn't recommend for a newborn even though it is a "convertible" car seat and can be rear facing for newborns. The reason I say this is because you can't take the car seat out and put it in a stroller like you can with other brands, and looks quite clunky rear facing even though it does recline. To me the best use of this is when your child is ready to face forward. I do highly recommend!

Customer Review: Marathon good for very ROOMY cars
Summary: 4 Stars

Unless you are drive a VERY roomy car, the Marathon may only fit comfortably in the upright position -- in the reclined position it can stick out more and push the toddler's feet into the back of the front seat. The Roundabout can handle both positions in my Subaru Forester. The quick release tab of the Marathon is situated under a flap and doesn't release very smoothly (kind of sticks), whereas the Roundabout's quick release button on the surface operates very smoothly and easily.

The Marathon might be better for bigger kids but my kids are on the smaller size so Roundabout was good to 3 or 4 years old. If you have large or fast growing kids, you might opt for the Marathon. But for small children and babies, (or smaller cars!!) Roundabout feels more snug, versatile and cozy.

Customer Review: Best Seat Out There
Summary: 5 Stars

After a lot of online research on seats, my husband and I decided to take our one year old to a big box store to try out a few. Out of the eight or so we sat him in on the store floor, this seat was the only one he was happy in. The seat components also seemed far superior to most models out there - and they had better be as this is by far the most expensive seat offered at most stores.

The expense however, has proved to be well worth it. Our son had always resisted his infant seat, constantly fussing and wriggling. It has been great to have a seat he is comfortable in and that sits high enough that he can see out all the windows.

My long lanky son has plenty of room and is comfortable and happy; and I am confident he's as safe as I can make him. Perfect.

Customer Review: good solid safe car seat
Summary: 4 Stars

The Britax quality shows with this car seat. It seems to be very comfortable for my little boy as he seems to fall asleep easily once settled in. It was infinitely easier to install than the Graco infant carrier base that we had. There are only two things that I don't like...the shoulder harness straps seem to twist every time and I have to straighten them each and every time I put him in the seat (of course this may be operator error) and the back of the seat if pretty tall. My son is still rear facing and I have difficulty seeing over the back of the seat to see his reflection in the mirror system we have. Otherwise I really like this seat and I like that it is going to last for a while. I think it's worth the few extra dollars for his comfort and safety.
