We bought two of the Britax Marathon's in the Onyx when my daughter turned 1, was 20 lbs and ready to be forward facing. She has loved this seat and it has been comfortable for her during long road trips. We are replacing it only because of an accident (my daughter didn't even acknowledge the accident she was so secure!!) that completely disabled my Jeep Liberty. We're looking at a booster now that's she's 4 and over 40" tall. I would recommend this to anyone wanting safety and comfort.Customer Review: Love it

We have the BRITAX MARATHON for our twin boys and we love it. The only thing that is a nuisance is the fastener.The constant checking to make sure it's locked properly. The somewhat positive is my sons cannot open the bottom fastener which is great but my concern is if we had an emergency how would they get themselves unfastened if I was unable(reason only gave 4 stars). Other than that, they are comfortable and I definately feel like they are as safe as they can be in a car seat.Customer Review: Great CarSeat

Although these carseast are a little tall in a Ford Explorer they are great. The seats are comfortable and the straps are not flemsy and do not get all twisted around. The straps adjust very easily and it was easy to install once I figured out how to swap sides with the latch connections. It is very easy, they just overlap one another in the front of the seat. For fathers out there who don't like to read the instruction manual, this is a great one to read.Customer Review: Great fit for kid and car

We also have the roundabout which I also like. The Marathon has a thin base, so I can still fit two more kids in the back of my Camry with the carseat in. My little guy is tall for his age [30" at 9 months], but he has plenty of room to grow in this and can sleep in it comfortably. The straps don't get tangled either. Installation took a bit of time, but it wasn't impossible. Warning, the darker colors do heat up in the car a bit in summer.Customer Review: Best Car Seat

This is a great car seat. I have heard from many parents that it is the safest car seat and it is very high quality. My only concern was whether it would fit rear facing in my car, but it fits perfectly. This is a rather large car seat, but given that it accomodates up to 65 lbs., that is to be expected. My son is 6 months old and already outgrew his infant car seat so hopefully this is my last car seat purchase for him!
