Baby Products Reviews of BreathableBaby Breathable Safer Bumper, Fits All Cribs, WhiteCustomer Review: No complaints here Summary: 5 Stars
We sleep better now knowing these bumpers are on our sons crib.
They are great, you would think since they are "breathable" they would be thin but they are not. They are very well padded and easier to instal verses the conventional crib bumpers.
For those who have not had to worry over crib bumpers yet, go to the store and pull out a bumper in a bedding set pack and stick your face into it and try to breath. You will not be able too. They are crazy thick. Yes they match the decor but they are not safe. Also per the pediatrics guidlines they say not to use a bumper at all because of the thickness of the conventional ones, but when you see a little arm stuck in between the posts you will see why they are even still made.
Customer Review: bought based on referrals Summary: 3 Stars
I like the bumper just fine. I really see the value when I watch my little one move around in her crib. I'm making sure all my mommy-to-be friends buy it. I was even going to make my own set of regular bumpers until a friend said to buy these
That being said...
they are not very plushy which doesn't help when it comes to her pushing her body against the edges and it doesn't stop her from being able to move it up and down but I don't know that I would have regular bumpers given how breathable they are. The only thing I DON't like is that if you have a crib with a solid back, no where does it explain, not even on youtube, how you are supposed to tie it on. It's only demonstrated with the kind of crib you see in the photo here.
Customer Review: Great peace of mind... and stylish! Summary: 5 Stars
I used traditional bumpers in my daughter's crib until recently. at 7 months she started REALLY rolling around and I found her sideways in the crib and sleeping on her side with her face up against the bumpers. I immediately took them out, but then was scared she would get her limbs stuck in the slats for as much as she was moving around. So I ordered the BreathableBaby bumpers in light pink. They fit perfectly. Though my crib has solid panels in the center of the front and back, so I had to cut the ties off. Turns out, I don't need them at all; just pulled them super tight with the velcro. they stay in place perfectly, look great, and when I saw my daughter sleeping with her face up against them today I knew she was fine. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
Customer Review: I was nervous after I put it on the crib Summary: 2 Stars
I have always subscribed to the AAP's recommendation that bare is best when it comes to crb bedding. But when my son started pulling himself up in the crib he was constantly getting his legs and feet stuck through the rails. So I ordered this to keep his limbs safely in the crib. I easily installed it and it really did look sharp and stylish. However I didn't think it looked like it would still allow for air circulation. I used it for 3of my son's naps and every time I got him up from a nap he was sweating and flushed. That let me know that the air wasn't circulating as normal. So I took it off and returned it without any issue. I guess I am just a nervous nelly. I have friends who use these without any problem. It's just not for us.
Customer Review: Keeps arms and legs inside the crib! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this when my son started moving around his crib. I had to remove his regular bumper, but his arms and legs were constantly getting stuck in the crib rails. He was also constantly launching his pacifier over the edge of the mattress. Who wants to be searching underneath the back of the crib for a pacifier at 3am? Enter the Breathable Bumper--this keeps arms, legs and pacifiers inside the crib, but also gives me peace of mind should the little guy end up with his face up against the bumper. Next time around, I might even consider skipping the regular bumper altogether and going straight for this! Oh - and kudos to the installation videos. They make installation a breeze!
