Baby Products Reviews of BreathableBaby Breathable Safer Bumper, Fits All Cribs, WhiteCustomer Review: Good idea, Bad bumper Summary: 2 Stars
When I was pregnant and shopping for the nursery, I was torn between what type of bumper to buy. One one hand I liked the softness of the Carter's brand bumper, but I liked the "breathable" bumper because my daughter was born in the beginning of summer and I wanted her to stay as cool as possible; so I bought the breathable bumper. When I put it on the crib, it looked very nice and while my daughter was little and imobile, it was very useful. As soon as she began to roll around, about 4 months, I would wake in the night to screams...her litttle arms and legs would get caught in the spacing of the crib, up and over the bumper! She would roll and turn while sleeping and apparently her limbs would lift over the bumper and the bumper would crumble under the light pressure of a babies arm. I have since bought the Carter's brand bumper and I am happy. It stands up to her limbs and no more limbs get caught. Great idea, but bumper needs work.
Customer Review: Works awesome, and gives me peace of mind Summary: 5 Stars
I was a little hesitant to purchase this product because of some of the bad reviews. I went ahead and bought it because I thought it was better than not having it. I'm so glad I did. It took a little creativity and a couple tries to get it installed to the point I was happy with it but it wasn't too bad at all. I realized those complaining about it folding over do not have it installed correctly. You need to pull it really tight and it works perfectly. I suggest checking out the Breathable Baby Website if you have any questions on them. There are a few options depending on your crib style. We were worried about suffocation risk with our regular bumper so weren't using it, but our son was getting his arms and legs stuck between the slats....this is perfect for all situations! I highly recommend to anyone.
Customer Review: 13 MONTH OLD WITH POTENTIAL ALLERGIES Summary: 5 Stars
We've had bumpers on my son's crib since he was born. He just turned 1 year old, and started standing on them when he woke up. Even though the mattress was lowered as far as it would go, we were still fearful that he would climb out and fall, so we took the bumpers off. He did not seem to sleep well without anything on there - his pacifier would fall out, his arms and legs would fall through the bars, etc. We didn't want to put the bumpers back on, especially since we have dust allergies in the family. He seems to love this bumper! And we love it because it keeps everything in the crib, we don't have to worry about SIDS, and it doesn't seem to collect dust as much as a cotton bumper does. He also seems more comfortable with this than without anything at all. Highly recommend!
Customer Review: Great product, Look at review AVERAGE Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great product. It annoys me because the three most visible reviews for this product do not reflect what most reviewers are saying. I almost didn't buy it because of the few bad reviews, but as the vast majority of the reviews show, this is a great product. It keeps my little girl's arms and legs from getting stuck helping us both get more sleep. I also love that I know it's safe. My little girl is a tummy sleeper and scooches around quite a bit and often winds up against the bumper. The bumper is actually quite sturdy but entirely breathable. It also fits the crib nice and tightly and doesn't fall down. The bumper comes in two pieces making it easy to fit on your crib. Keeping the pacifiers in the crib, is an added bonus as well. =) So worth the money!
Customer Review: A must have for your active baby Summary: 5 Stars
We were having trouble with our 7 month old daughter getting her legs caught in the rails of her crib and giving a wake up call to her parents in the middle of the night. After some research I decided to try this product. The instructions to put the pad on the crib did leave something to be desired, but with some trial and error I had it in place in less than 10 minutes. It has been in place now for over a week and we have had no wake up calls. An added bonus, her pacifiers don't end up on the floor anymore. She even found it in the middle of the night and put it in her mouth. As to those who say it isn't that attractive I don't think it looks that bad, and would rather my babies legs not end up in the rails making her cry and/or waking me up at night.
