I'm sure you've been warned about the dangers of installing a crib bumper in your infant's crib. It's true - they do pose a hazard for young ones. However - what do you do when they are old enough to push their nuks (binky, pacifier, etc., etc.) through the crib rails and end up on the floor CONSTANTLY?
We got the go ahead from our doctor to use this breathable/mesh crib bumper and there are no more lost nuks. Our little bundle of joy has since figured out other games to play - but ones that are less disruptive to her sleep cycle (and ours).
So - this product does exactly what we wanted it to. My one complaint is that it was a little bit tricky to figure out how to install. It's advertised as a universal item and I really think it is, but some crib designs pose more of a challenge than others. Ours was one because there are 4 inch wide slats in the middle of each side of the crib which is where the instructions specify to tie to. So, we just had to augment the installation slightly. It doesn't look quite as good as the picture but the use is temporary and - above all else - it's functional!

I have been anticipating to purchase this product, and finally did! The fact that it's breathable, made feel much safer putting my little man in his crib! Once i received i couldn't wait to put it up!
Sure you would think , how hard can this be.WRONG. It took me 30min! I almost wanted to give up, and ship it back. The crib that we purchased, doesn't have railings all the way around the crib, they are only on the front and back, and the sides are solid wood with a railing on both sides. I think that is what made it worse. The product it not in one whole piece, it comes in two. one for the front and one for the back. When you have access of the material, when done. you are suppose to double wrap it, which makes it look so stupid. So finally after trying and trying, i got it to look decent, cause i was determined that it was going to work. I ended up turning the crib around, cause the back looked better then the front. Over all the look is wonderful, once you figure it out and it's safe the the kiddo! thats what counts the most..however it was a pain to put it up!

I purchased this item after finding my 2 month old sleeping with her face up against her crib bumper one night. We first tried just removing the original bumper, only to find one of her arms and one of her legs sticking out the side of the crib that next morning. Now we can rest assured that she will not suffocate because of the bumper, nor will she end up with limbs hanging out of the crib. It's been a perfect solution for us.
Further, it does fit non-traditional cribs very well. We have one with an attached changing table, so one side of the crib has no slats at all. The bumper comes in two pieces, one longer than the other. Because it fastens to the crib by wrapping around slats and velcro-ing to itself, the sizes are completely adjustable. It's easy to install, stays in place, and works like a charm. I'd highly recommend this product.

I'm really glad I purchased this crib bumper. When my son was born we had one of the thicker, traditional decorative bumpers, but as he got older he began to move in his sleep... a LOT! I was concerned about SIDS, like so many new parents are, so I switched to this bumper and felt like I could stop worrying so much. It keeps my active sleeper from getting his feet and hands stuck between the bars, but is much less risky than the thick bumpers. It is made in two pieces so it can fit to any crib, which has pros and cons. It took me a couple tries to make it work in mine and wasn't as seamless and pretty of a fit as the other bumper, but I got used to it. Once I got used to seeing it on his crib I think it looks fine and works great. Actually, because it's thin, it is easier to change his sheets than it was with a thick bumper.Customer Review: Bumper works for us!

Before I purchased this bumper, I read most of the reviews. Despite some of the negative reviews about it not staying put and being difficult to put on, I still purchased the product and hoped for the best. My son always seems to make his way to the end of his crib and sleeps with his face on the bars. Without a bumper he hits his head and at some point during the evening his little arm will get stuck. So...I needed a breathable bumper. So far I haven't had problems with it falling down. It isn't easy to install and the directions aren't very user friendly. I watched an instructional video online to learn how to install it correctly. For me, installing it correctly and pulling everything VERY tight has worked. If I notice that it is getting a little loose, I will pull it tight again and secure it.
