I have never written a review on Amazon before, so it's saying a lot that I decided to write one for this product. DON'T waste your time with this variable flow nipple. I accidentally bought it assuming it was the next size up from the size 1 nipples. I didn't even realize there was a size 2 available. I knew my 3-month old daughter had out-grown the size 1 nipple and I kept trying (for weeks!) to get her to take this variable flow nipple, but she would choke and gurgle milk all over every time. She even started crying when I would take her to the couch to feed her. I was SO stumped and just kept trying and trying, switching back to the size 1 nipple for awhile and then trying this one again a week or so later. I couldn't understand why she wasn't ready for the next size up until I came on Amazon and read the reviews on the variable flow nipple. It was then that I realized what the problem was. The variable flow nipple is HORRIBLE. I bought the size 2 nipples that same night and it was an amazing difference! They're perfect and work great!
