Baby Products Reviews of Born Free Twister BrushesCustomer Review: It fell apart. Summary: 3 Stars
I have been using Born Free for years and told numerous of friends about the company.
Now, I have a big complaint with Born Free because the Twister Brush Set fell apart within two weeks. The white foam broke apart and the yellow foam tore out of the holder. Also, how do you clean the 2 pieces of the venting system with this brush? It can not be done.
So, do not buy this item.
Additional: Amazing customer service. They are aware of this problem. I do not understand how items like this make it to the market, but they sent me a new one. It works much better and has yet to fall apart. So, still 1 star for original product defect and they knew about it. 5 stars for admitting the problem and sending me a replacement. Average three stars.
Customer Review: Great design, but the small brush does not hold up Summary: 3 Stars
The package comes with 2 brushes; a large bottle brush, and a small nipple cleaning brush.
The big bottle brush in the pack is absolutely flawless. It does it's job well, it's very reliable, and well designed.
The small brush is used to clean the valves and the silicon nipples. This is the one that I love and hate! It does a phenomenal job at cleaning, but the problem is that it's rather fragile. Within several washes, the sponge literally falls apart, if you're not especially gentle. Born Free does not sell the small brushes separately. Every time the small brush breaks, you'll end up having to replace both brushes, even though the big bottle brush is practically new. This gets very expensive over time.
Customer Review: Good nipple brush Summary: 3 Stars
The bottle brush is really not good. I do use Born Free bottles. It started to fall apart after using for about a week and a half and got stuck while washing one of the breast pump bottles & shied and then it was done. I actually think Dr. Brown's bottle brush is better for the Born Free bottles and also works best with my Medela breast pump accessories. However, the nipple brush works great! It really works well for washing the Born Free nipples and the valves for the Medela breast pump part. Essentially I am re-ordering this just for the nipple brush. I have tried other nipple brushes but they tend to be too rough and am afraid will damage the Born Free nipples.
Customer Review: Best bottle brushes ever! Summary: 5 Stars
I've tried many of the different bottle brushes and this one (hands down) is the best. The entire brush is a sponge (versus the bristles that are on most brushes with a sponge at the tip). The smaller brush works great on the nipples and the breast pump accessories. I switch any brush out often (every 4-6 weeks because of the bacteria issue). I've been using these daily for weeks and they are holding up great. The twisting action saves time and I get all of my sterilizing done very quickly. I'm buying 2 more sets today so I have them on hand when I need to throw out my current ones. Oh, and I use Avent bottles and this brush work on them perfectly.
Customer Review: Bottle brush falls apart almost instantly Summary: 2 Stars
This is my second set of bottle/nipple brushes from Born Free. The first set lasted about 4 months and I was generally happy with it. I recently purchased a replacement set and was really bummed when the bottle brush fell apart after JUST ONE USE on my Born Free bottles! The foam is so stiff that, when you insert the brush into the bottle, it catches and tears on the sides of the bottle. Now, one week later, my brush is torn to pieces and is useless.
I love the nipple brush, which is the only reason Im giving this two stars instead of one. I've yet to find a good replacement for the bottle brush, but trust me, I'm looking.
