Customer Review: The company lowered its standards

I have been using these bottles for the past 18 months. We had 3 glass bottles, 2 of them cracked in the milk warmer machine, the third one is still good and not leaking.
Then I bought 4 more plastic bottles, 2 from Target and 2 from the local grocery store. All these 4 bottles leak right now. The 2 from target started leaking after one month of usage, the other two right away. I feed the baby and then I stop half-way through and I put the bottle down on the coffee table/couch and the next time I pick it up there is milk everywhere around the bottle. I opened the cap and there is milk inside the cap, between the thread lines. These will be the last bottles I buy from this company.

Born Free 9-Ounce Wide Neck BornFree Bottles Twin Pack
After researching BPA free items, I decided to attempt to switch my 4 month old from Avent Wide bottles to the Born Free bottles. The nipples are VERY similiar, though a little softer. I have had no issues with them closing and have been very happy with the bottles. My daughter transitioned very well to them. Appears that they are a pretty popular item as I can't buy them in the stores now in my town. I would highly recommend to any new mom (or old moms for that matter). If anything, they provide a little piece of mind.

Like the bottle that it is bisphenol A free and it looks and feel like the Dr. Brown wide neck bottles we have been using. However, we had repeated issues with nipples collapsing, which frustrates both baby and mom. We contacted Born Free about the issue, and they were very responsive. We tried their suggestions to remedy the issue (made sure the vent system is assembled correctly), however, the nipple collapsing issue still occurs periodically. I think the vent system on some of our bottles are just defective. I gave up trying to make the Born Free vent work, and just replaced the Born Free vent with the Dr. Brown parts, and it has been working great after that.Customer Review: Bottles are fine once you get used to all the parts

We bought the Born Free bottles because they were the only wide nipple, BPA FREE bottles available at the time. Our son ajusted well to the new nipples (he had been using Avent nipples for about 8 months). In fact, he seemed to like them better. The bottle itself isn't too bad if you are just putting breast milk in it, but you have to be careful if you are mixing formula in the bottle. There is a slit in the air vent that gets blocked every so often even when you mix the formula side to side. Once the vent is blocked no air is allowed in the bottle and it interupts drinking which is very annoying--especially when you are trying to get your baby to sleep!Customer Review: Great BPA free bottles

I ordered these bottles to replace my Dr. Brown's bottles when my daughter was about 5 months because they were BPA free. I was worried that she wouldn't take the new bottles well because they were a different size and shape but she didn't hesitate at all.
We have had no problems with these bottles. She is now 11 months and they have held up great.
The one thing that I didn't like about the Dr. Brown's bottles I originally had was all of the different parts. While the Born Free bottles have just as many parts to wash, you do not need a special small brush for these like you do with the Dr. Brown's bottles which I like.
