Baby Products Reviews of Born Free Trainer Cup, Colors May VaryCustomer Review: Ok, but beware of "colors may vary" Summary: 3 Stars
So far so good, I have just stared transitioning my son to sippy cups so we don't really have a favorite yet. I haven't had any issues with leaks and we used the Born Free bottles so I was prepared for the multiple parts. I did however recieve a pink cup. I know I was taking my chances with the "colors may vary" but I thought I had a decent chance of getting a gender neutral color...guess not. If it turs out he loves this cup guess I'll just have to buy some at the store so we don't end up with a ton of pink cups!
Customer Review: Best cup ever Summary: 5 Stars
I absolutely love this cup. I have tried just about every cup with my son. Gerber, Playtex, First Years, Nuby, Thinkbaby, Avent, etc. I like the Thinkbaby cup but it tends to be slightly leaky. The Bornfree trainer cup does not leak at all and my 8 month old has no trouble drinking from it. I wanted a BPA free cup that he could actually drink from and would not leak. I found it! It is so cute when he tips his head all the way back to get a drink, sometimes falling over due to overcompensation. :)
Customer Review: A great beginner! Summary: 5 Stars
I have been trying to wean my son from a bottle for a while now with sippy cups I thought would be a good start. He would take a few sips out of the cup and throw it away and cry because he wanted a bottle. Well he is 12 months old now and I feel its time to start weaning him from the bottle but with no luck. Then I bought this and because the nipple is soft like a bottles nipple and he can easily suck out the liquid, he has officially been weaned from the bottle. I highly recommend this!
Customer Review: The worst of both worlds Summary: 1 Stars
How is it possible that this sippy cup leaks so badly, while at the same time is too difficult for my 1-YO to suck liquid out of? I'm sick of her frustration at not being able to drink her milk out of this thing, and sick of getting sticky drips all over the place! It's just as bad with or without the handles under the lid. I even tried making the nipple hole larger, and poking a second hole for air release. No difference. I just threw it into the trash, because that's what it is.
Customer Review: Fabulous cup if you know about the spout Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this cup for my then 9 month old son and at first it did leak all over the place. I then switched out the spout for a 6+ month spout and suddenly the leaking completely stopped. If you use the hard spout that comes with the cup, you will have mega leaking like another reviewer stated. If you buy the soft spout, however, you will have absolutely no problems at all with this cup. Definitely a must have for any toddler. My 13 month old cannot live without this cup.
