Baby Products Reviews of Born Free Drinking Cup, Colors May Vary

Customer Review: like it
Summary: 4 Stars

Good drinking cup. Sure, it totally will leak if it is tipped to the side but I think of it as a learning cup. I also bought some trainer spouts so if my toddler was in a place where she might tip it(car or when I am not around)it will not leak, but the trainer spouts require some hard sucking. I think this cup is intended for 18 months or older, any younger and you are bound to have a mess. This is the cheapest BPA free bottle on the market, I can deal with a little leakage.

Customer Review: Leaks, even with a soft spout
Summary: 3 Stars

I called the Born Free company and it said that all of its spouts and nipples are interchangeable on their products so we bought the drinking cup and purchased a soft trainer spout separately.....if you use the cup with the trainer handles you can't get a good suction and the cup leaks. I was disapointed in this.....this cup is basically a bottle with a unique nipple that leaks....I love the concept of it being bisphenol A free but the design has not been perfected yet.

Customer Review: Leaks like crazy and overpriced.
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this training cup for my 8 month old because I'm a sucker...the first one i bought i took back because it leaked and i thought i just got a defective one. Babies-r-us reluctantly gave me a credit for it. But the other one I got is exactly the same, no matter what I do it leaks. This is the training cup to for a baby so it is not supposed to leak but it does. The price is outrageous. I like their bottles but will not purchase their products with my next child.

NOT a Big fan of Born-free sippy cups!!!
If you want the liquid that you put in these cups to end up on your child, floor, car seat, all over the car, dog, sofa etc. you get the point, go ahed and spend your money on these cups.
If you want a truly leak-proof cup, get someting else.
I'm going to purchase Gerber Fun grips or Avent Magic cups and give those a try. The Born-Free Cups are going to become new bath toys, as one reviewer suggested.

Customer Review: Peace of Mind
Summary: 4 Stars

I feel much safer giving this cup to my 18 month old. I like that it is BPA free, and I am glad there is a company out there that is dedicated to keeping our little ones safe. The cup does leak without the cap on, but I like that your child does not have to suck hard to get a drink. I can't say that my daughter is the biggest fan of the spout, but I am hoping hse will adjust to it. It is rather pricey, but I would recommend Born Free products to my friends.
