Baby Products Reviews of Born Free Drinking Cup - Colors May VaryCustomer Review: Very good, doesnt spill much Summary: 4 StarsThis is a good product that really controls the spills. But occasionally you wont press it hard enough and some will spill (just a little bit). Compared to the Avent that we had before this is dry!
Customer Review: Born Free Drinking Cups Summary: 3 StarsI agree with another reviewer that these cups leak unless you use the trainer cup spouts. The trainer cup spouts are somewhat of a problem themselves for older children in that they are hard to get liquids out without a strong sucking effort. So, overall, I would look for another product.
Customer Review: Born Free Sippy Cup Summary: 5 StarsThis product is made without BPA which is a horrible thing found is SO MANY of the baby bottles and other plastics. I searched for a long time and found a few companies that care what you give your child, Born Free is one of those companies.
Our daughter LOVES her sippy cup. She also has the drinking cup, but still makes a bit of a mess with that one. The sippy is great. She struggled with gas before and now she does fine, the Born Free bottles, cups, etc have this filter type thing that helps prevent gas, it really seems to work for our daughter. I would recommend this product to anyone!
Customer Review: Major Leak Issues Summary: 2 StarsThis is just a basic sippy, cup, and it leaks. The travel cover will be lost in no time, and therefore the water leaks.
It also molded very quickly.
To avoid BPA, I would recommend stainless steel (the clean canteen sippy)
Customer Review: too much work for too much money. Leaks like none other. Summary: 1 StarsWell I have to say that I liked the idea of a healthier plastic.... whatever that means. Ultimately this product cost way too too much. These really are ment for older kids on the go. You know once the kids have learned not to spill thier drinks. BornFree's nipple system is just so wrong I don't even know where to begin. I wen't through several exchanges at whole foods and with the company. The "training cup" litterally has an open slit right across it. No matter what you do it will leak. The lid is just a waste. I tried using the x style nipple instead of the slit as well, but the way I see it for this PRICE THIS PRODUCT COULD BE PERFECT AND IT IS NOT.
Bottom line
1. leaks leaks leaks
2. cost too much
3. it's only BA Free and not phathalate free (that's a biggy)
4. does not train toddlers
if you are going try it at least go to whole foods so you can return it after you realize what a waste
