Baby Products Reviews of Born Free Drinking Cup, Colors May VaryCustomer Review: Soft Spouts Leak Summary: 2 Stars
I'm intrigued by the people who state the soft spouts don't leak. By the look of my couch, floor, and son, I beg to differ. Although I spent a good hour at the store reading packaging and doing research, I came home with this dud. It leaks. Period. Maybe when my son is older, this might be useful, but since I couldn't find the cup he liked anywhere I needed to find a new one to replace his pre-bed, and only, bottle of the day. We tried these and have been so unhappy. The price is rediculous considering how much confusion there is around this product. Even if people are buying training vs. drinking cups, I don't believe that all these people could be making the same mistake. It's time for the manufacturer to work on their packaging and marketing if that's the case.
Customer Review: LIBERAL FEAR MONGERING PURE AND SIMPLE Summary: 1 Stars
Scam. All these GOD HATING liberals today going on and on about the so-called "environment". PLEASE. The FDA and all the rest of the GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (!!!) has said repeatedly, time and again, that PLASTIC IS SAFE! If it wasn't, we would have found out about it a long time ago, because AMERICANS (yes, the RED BLOODED kind) have been useing PLASTIC to eat and drink out of now for, litteraly, decades. If all of the liberal HYPE were true, by now we would ALL be walking around with deformities on our heads andmost of us are not. So save your money, unless you're one of those who likes throwing your money away on the latest faddish rip off. I would never let my wife buy on of these for MY son. Not in a million years.
Customer Review: I wish my son would like this cup as much as I do.. Summary: 3 Stars
Hi,
I bought this cup for my son when he was about 7 months old. He has another training cup by green sprouts (his preferred bottle) but he keeps on getting frustrated with this one. I think he has to pull too hard or the liquid won't come out fast enough. As much as I try giving it to him, a few minutes later he will be so upset that I end up filling the content into the other bottle. I will try again! He is 10 months by now and hopefully he will be ready for the bottle now. It doesn't leak with us, is easy to clean with a bottle brush and I am happy that it is considered a "green" baby product. Now, my son will only have to learn how to use this cup...I eventually just ordered the straw version to give it a try.
Customer Review: Leaks like Niagara Falls Summary: 1 Stars
I love the look of these cups, but hoooo boy they leak. They might as well not even have a top on them. There's no valve or other mechanism inside the cup to avoid leakage, and the hole in the nipple is huge. As soon as my son figured out he could make liquid come shooting out of the bottle he spent all of his time jerking it upside-down and pounding the nipple on his high chair tray creating lakes of milk and juice. These cups are single-handedly responsible for more last-minute outfit changes than anything else since we had a child. We'll try the soft tips (I just read the review saying that they have a smaller opening in the nipple) but I'm this close to throwing these things in the garbage.
Customer Review: Born Free Drinking Cup Summary: 4 Stars
I give this drinking cup a good rating because of various features. First, the handle--it can be removed or kept on depending on your child's preference. Second, the brand--it's known to produce BPA free products. Third--it's lightweight. My baby used the training cup before and absolutely loved it. However, after switching to the drinking cup, he didn't like it as well. I believe it's the spout because the drinking cup has a harder spout. The good thing about Born Free cups is that I can switch back to the softer spout. No sweat. The downside to the BF product is that there are various parts to wash. Not that big a deal to me though.
