Baby Products Reviews of Born Free 9-Ounce Wide Neck BornFree Bottles Twin PackCustomer Review: LOVE is an understatement! Summary: 5 StarsMy son has been using Born Free bottles since he was about a month old. He had horrible colic, and were trying different formulas and bottles. We came across these in Longs, and decided to try them out, and never looked back.
In combination with Nutramigen formula these bottles are the best thing that has ever been created. They are comfortable to hold while feeding my son, and hold 9oz. (about 10-11oz if you fill to the brim)
They were a bit touchy at first but once I got the hang of it, its easy as pie. The trick is to NOT tighten them tight, but not to loose. The system isnt a hassle. For people who complain that its SO hard to figure out... you must be totally stupid. Read the directions that came in the box, it clearly states how to if you can figure it out for yourself.
Occasionally the little vent thing will not vent but then I just take off the bottle and the vent and push the vent nob thingy in so the slit will open, and then reassemble.
Best bottles ever created...period.
Try them, and ignore the idiots.
Customer Review: replacement for avent product Summary: 5 StarsThese bottles and nipples have worked well for my granddaughter. My daughter had been using Avent products before realizing that the Avent products were not BPA free. Since it wasn't worth taking a chance, she has replaced those bottles with the BornFree brand. These are a quality product and have worked well.
Customer Review: Just ok Summary: 2 StarsI bought these bottles to replace our Avent bottles, due to BPA concerns. These bottles are ok, but I like Dr. Brown's better. I use a Medela breast pump and the Born-Free bottles, like the Avent bottles, do not fit on the pump. The Dr. Brown's bottles do fit the Medela pump connectors. Like other reviewers have stated, the nipples on these bottles collapses and there are extra parts that seem useless, just more stuff to clean. It is easier for my son to hold the Dr. Brown's bottles also. I would not recommend these, there are far better bottles out there, we also use Momo glass bottles, and I am very pleased with them.
Customer Review: the best bottles Summary: 4 StarsI absolutely love these bottles! We tried advent first, he hated them, tried medela..was too gassy from them, tried Dr.browns a little imprvement but i hated the orange residue always left on the vent system. then broke down and shelled out the bucks for these and my baby has been happy ever since. his gassiness basically went away, he never has inerrupted feedingd. these are easier to clean then the dr. browns and they are bpa free. he is 5 months and always wants to hold the bottle himself, of course i hold it straight at the bottom for him, but this was definetly money well spent. but, it would be nice if they can make them a bit more affordable, especially for us on a tight budget.
Customer Review: Good bottles Summary: 4 StarsI think these have been really good bottles for my 2nd daughter and that they really do reduce gas. With my first child we used the Avent bottles and she was gassy all the time. Now with my 2nd we switched to these and she's been doing great. Both were on breastmilk only. I also have never had them leak as others have said. The only time they've leaked is when I forgot the middle pieces.
