I'm now 26 weeks pregnant and been starting to have a very difficult time getting comfortable. (I hate being forced to sleep on my side all night.) I looked into buying a body pillow, but all the body pillows I looked at that had gotten good reviews cost $100 or more.
Originally, I bought this to keep between my knees, to replace the pillow I'd been using which is too soft and flattens out and really doesn't offer any support. However, as one other reviewer said - it IS really small. So instead of tucking it between my knees, I tried what other reviewers had said and wedged it underneath my stomach.
Oh WOW. I had no idea my stomach was pulling me down & forward so much. Tucking this in only a couple inches under my stomach kept me better aligned and made a huge difference in comfort. It's only been one night, so time will tell if it helps with my hip pain - I still had a little bit of hip pain last night, but nearly as bad as it's been previous nights. But just having the extra support under my stomach helped me fall asleep quicker.

This pillow is awesome! I used it a little my first trimester but by the end of my second trimester it was a must, even when napping on the couch! It has really held up a lot better than I thought it would, I guess the 'dense foam' really is pretty dense. I like that it's small & lightweight so I can readjust it easily throughout the night.
I am now in my third trimester and I recently picked up a second boppy wedge to place behind my back both for comfort and to prevent me from rolling onto my back during the night.
Since this is my first pregnancy and I haven't grown too much (about a 20 lb gain so far) the size is perfect for me. I'm not sure how well it might work for women with more prominent bellies, though.
ATTENTION ALLERGY SUFFERERS: An added bonus is that this pillow is small enough to put inside a standard size allergy barrier pillowcase! That's something you can't do with any of the popular body pillows on the market!

I'm a just a husband with a first time pregnant wife. So this whole ordeal is completely new to us.
My wife was complaining about a hurting back because our couches were too soft, at maybe 10 weeks. She also has a slight scoliosis problem.
The makers of this item really named the wedge poorly. I refuse to call it "the boppy" or "boppy wedge". In fact the bad name has kept me from referring this product to co-workers because I'm too manly to use the work boppy in a sentence.
However that being said, this thing works great! She takes it everywhere with her couch, bed, train, plane, even parents houses. It is the only thing to give her relief.
As a funny anecdote: Before we had this wedge, my wife tried to sleep on top of a hot water bottle. Yup you guessed it POP! Flood in the bed!
So husbands do yourself a favor get this for your wife before she tries to invent one herself.

When I first opened the package to the Boppy Wedge, I was disappointed in the quality. It is not the strong, sturdy type of pillow material like the traditional Boppy pillow. It is extrememly lightweight and more of a spongy/foam type material inside. I thought perhaps it might not hold up or become flattened after a couple of uses..but not so! It has been a huge blessing for me. I am nine months pregnant with two incisional hernias (from previous c-section). I was dealing with massive side and abdominal pain, especially at night and the Boppy Wedge gives the exact support, right where I need it! I've tried other supports and even maternity support belts, but they just were not the specific support that I needed. It has held up perfectly and still looks new after a couple months of use. It has retained it's shape and did not flatten out at all. I'm really pleased with this product and I highly recommend it! :-)Customer Review: Not sure yet...

Reviews were so good that I decided to order this pillow. I'm used to sleeping on my back so I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping on my side since the 4th month when they recommend you do. I didn't want to buy a body pillow because we have a queen size bed and my husband is tall so the three of us wouldn't have fit in the same bed. I got this one last week, I'm 7 months pregnant now and I just don't know if I like it yet, the first night I hated it and I've been using it for 4 nights now and every night is less bad, but still I can't seem to have a good night sleep on my side. I get a lot of pain on my hips and this is not doing the trick entirely. I think its better than other pillows only because it's so small but you will need additional pillows to be comfortable.
