The Boppy Nursing Pillow is an absolute necessity to moms of newborn babies. When breastfeeding, the pillow makes it easier to hold my son so he is more comfortable and I do not break my back. Also, when he is in a good mood, the pillow is great for allowing him to sit up and look around without toppling over. And when it's "tummy time," I can lay him on his stomach on the pillow to give him a chance to practice holding his head up. The slipcover is detachable, so when my son spits up or drips milk onto it, I can wash the slipcover and not worry about ruining the pillow. My wife just delivered our first kid. With her tummy still relatively large and will remain so for the next few weeks, our son rests on the inside edge of the Boppy pillow. Because of the curved shape, he keeps slipping down in between my wife and the pillow while nursing. This can be rather painful when he falls out of position, which is very often.
Our pediatrician recommended MyBrestFriend pillow to us. We've used that for a few days now, and that one is much better for us because of the square edge vs the round edge on Boppy.

Product was received and quality good. I had a boppy for my daughter 7 yrs ago and loved it, so I had to get another one for my son who I had this year. I don't breastfeed but It is so nice to have while bottle feeding. It will also come in handy when he learns to sit up better. It's nice for tummy time to, although right now he does better without it since he's just learning how to hold his head up. I love the fabric for my boy and I have already had to wash the cover since he spit up on it. It didn't shrink and fits right still.Customer Review: I don't know what I'd do without this!

The boppy has been a lifesaver for me. My son dislocated my tailbone during delivery, and 4.5 weeks later, I still can't sit straight or back. I use the boppy to prop the baby while I lean into either side of the couch. Now that I can lean forward some, I can lay the baby across it or use the football "hold". I also use it as a prop for several different reasons. I wrapped a plastic bag around the boppy before I put the slipcover on, just in case we had milk spills or spit up, which we haven't.Customer Review: The Perfect Nursing Pillow

To add my two cents to what other reviewers have said, this pillow makes it so much easier to get your baby in position to nurse. It really is a must-have for breastfeeding mothers. I like this slipcover too -- very cute and easy to care for. Get two slipcovers through, so you can still use the Boppy when one cover is in the wash (and believe me, those can get pretty messy fairly quickly).
