We got this pillow after we noticed that our then six-week-old's head was getting flat from lying on one side of his head all the time. He has been using it for about five weeks now, and his head is almost completely round now. I am now ordering three more for friends whose babies have the same problem. When he sleeps, I prop him up under the pillow and under his shoulder with a rolled-up towel on the opposite side where the flatness is, and I also use the nursing pillow to lie him on his stomach on top of the pillow for tummy time, which he hates without the pillow but with the pillow he can do as much as 5 minutes at a time.Customer Review: Love it!

When our son was about 1.5 months old, I noticed the right side of his head was starting to flatten out a bit due to laying & playing on the floor. A friend of mine had the same problem w/her son & she suggested I buy the Boppy Noggin Nest. It has made a HUGE difference. He's now 3 months & we've been using hte noggin Nest for about 1/5 months. His head is starting to round out a bit. I usually just use the Noggin Nest in his carseat but do occassoinally use it while he's on the floor. It's a good thing I caught it early as I know if you let it go for too long, they may need helmets to help round out the head.Customer Review: Very good product!

I couldn't tell you if this is the reason my son's head is round in the back (smile). But I can certainly say that this is excellent for keeping the baby's head in a straight and comfortable position, specially when they are newborns and they spend a lot of time in their carrier, bouncy chairs or swings. This is not intended for use while sleeping in their crib.
I would not recommend using this product in lieu of the standard car seat headrest while transporting the baby in a car. After-market headrests that have not been crashed-tested could cause serious injury in the event of a collision.

This noggin is easier to use than the other one on the market. You may ask yourself, "how hard are they to use?", well trust me, when you have to fold, unfold, stick a seatbelt through it, make sure it doesn't bunch up under your childs back and does it's job of not allowing your child's head to bop around without the constant fear of blocking their airway, you will quickly answer the question of "how hard are they to use?".This one does it's job well, 4 stars only because of no color selection. It is cozy for the child, fits great in carseat. minimally invasive and easily washed. Definately recommend.Customer Review: Unattractive but reasonably functional

Our pediatrician recommended it for avoiding a flat spot on the back of baby's head. Keeps baby's head reasonably in place, but the angle and configuration of the car seat is more important in this regard. Velcro strap holders aren't very secure and keep coming off the straps, not a huge deal. Denim is ugly and doesn't match any baby stuff we own (do you own a denim stroller, swing, or chair?) We keep it in our car seat since that's where he spends a lot of time. For our baby jogger, we use the Kidapottamus Snuzzler since it surrounds a newborn and supports baby's head more effectively.
