I highly recommend this play mat. It is very well designed and our baby has gotten a lot of use out of it. The toys are at the right hight for a six week old infant to bat at, which is not the case of many mats. In addition, the mat has wonderful little attractions for tummy time as well such a crinkly leaves and dragon fly wings. In the early days of tummy time, the little pillow is also a nice feature. We no longer use the entertainment bar because at six months she has out grown playing on her back, but we have transferred the hanging toys to her stroller/car seat and they are still fun for her. She continues to use the mat for tummy time.Customer Review: Wonderful play gym

I bought this play gym for my granddaughter. She is now 2 1/2 months old. She loves the the lighted butterfly and is constantly fixed on the bee! I like everything about it starting with the construction, the colors used, the cute theme and the very soothing music. The small boppy helps prop her up so she can bat the bee around and grab hold of the leg of the bee. (Quite by accident right now!) I highly recommend this item. My only wish is that the music lasted longer each time it goes on. I have to move it constantly at this point because she is not able to do it yet. My son loves this playmat. At first he would just lie on his back and stare at the toys hanging down. Then I started using it for tummy time (though I agree that if you have hardwood floors you definitely need to add a mat or blanket underneath it if they are rolling over so they don't hurt their head). Now he has discovered the toys and bats and pulls at them. I added extra links so that the toys would hang down closer to them so he could reach them. He loves hitting the butterfly so that it lights up and plays the music. He also loves staring at himself in the mirror that comes with the gym.Customer Review: Great for learning cause and effect and for tummy time

My daughter spend quite a bit of time on this. She enjoys all the bugs that come with it. I keep the ladybug on her changing table. She has started carrying the bee with her. The large butterfly sings when she hits it. She quickly understood cause and effect with the help of this butterfly. The mirror is great too. She had used all pieces of this set.
The leaves on the mat make crunching noise when you move them. She tugs on them while on her tummy. The mini boppy was nice when she was really little. We stopped using that around 4 months. This is an engaging and fun play gym.

This is a great gym for tummy time, for playing with the baby or for letting her entertain herself. My daughter especially likes the mirror, but the other toys are good too. The butterfly toy on mine is NOT motion activated - you have to squeeze the head to make it light up and play music. I don't know which version they are currently selling. I like the mini-boppy pillow that comes with this - she looks much more comfortable propped up on the pillow than just laying flat on her back. Unfortunately my cats also love this product so we can't leave it sitting out or it gets covered in fur!
