Baby Products Reviews of Boon Snack Ball - Snack Container in Orange/BlueCustomer Review: cool design, but... Summary: 2 Stars
Like all Boon products, this little snack ball looks cool. Our two-year old loves to play with it, but gets frustrated when she can't open it. When she does open it, its not by swiveling the orange top around according to design, but by ripping it off. Then the snacks spill out - victory for baby, frustrating for parents. We spent a lot of time trying to teach her to swivel the top, and picking up snacks, and then just gave up. We've gone back to ziplock bags.
Customer Review: DON"T BUY THIS!! Summary: 5 Stars
After having repeated spills with the snack trap (due to my son ripping off the lid), I decided to try a snack container which screwed together. So far, this has been a winner in our book. The lid stays on and most of the snack stays in, due to the smaller sized opening (which is perfect for small hands).
EDIT: These snack containers only lasted two months for us. Lids will no longer stay on or closed. Not worth the money.
Customer Review: No smashed snacks! Summary: 5 Stars
I received the Boon snack ball as a gift for my son and absolutely love it! I can fill it up with Cheerios or other snacks that are easily smashed or crunched and they stay perfect! It also doubles as a great toy/attention distractor : ) My son loves to study the orange circle at the top and shake it like a little moracca. It is also the perfect size. It does not take up much space in my diaper bag. I'll probably buy another one!
Customer Review: Good idea, poorly implemented Summary: 2 Stars
Nice idea, attractive design, but not very durable. The plastic piece that keeps the swiveling lid attached to the ball broke after a couple weeks of regular use. We never even dropped it, it just snapped. And the ball shape without a lid doesn't really lend itself to many other uses. We're using it as a bath toy now.
I can't recommend this unless they can make it stronger.
Customer Review: Roll away little ball Summary: 2 Stars
As cute as this snack ball is (we have purple/green) it is a real pain to use. It truly is a ball in that it rolls and rolls and rolls all around your house/car whenever the small kids drop it. Kind of funny the first 30 times but after that it gets a bit old. If only they had made it with a flat bottom! I don't recommend this but instead would point you to the snacktrap B0009FIMPG.
