Customer Review: Looks Cool but Non-Functional

Bought this for my 10-month old son, who is on the road to using a sippy cup on his own. This product blew his mind (and he's not dense). I showed him several times how to use it, but it just never took. Ended up tossed aside every time.
A much bigger problem was the fact that it leaks from two locations on the bottle -- from the "no leak" mouth spout and around the larger opening where you put it together. Tried many, many times to put it together where it wouldn't leak (I'm not dense either). It got him and everything around him absolutely soaked.
The bottle looks cool but it's totally unusable. When it comes down to it, I need something that's functional. This is the second Boon product that I have purchased that looked awesome but didn't work properly. I won't be suckered by their snazzy designs again.

Wish I had taken the time to read the other reviews of this cup before I bought it! It is difficult for my 12 month old grandson to drink from. The angled drinking spout sounds like a good idea, but in reality makes it difficult to drink from. Boon assumes that a toddler will know which way to pick the cup up so that the spout is in the right direction to allow liquid to flow. It's also impossible to get any liquid out of the thing! I tried it myself after watching my grandson struggle and I couldnt get more than a drop or two of water out of it! Very disappointing!Customer Review: my son can't use it

I was so excited to get this toddler cup for my 12 month old son! Too bad it turned out to be such a disappointment! The same feature that makes it look so neat, and seem so easy for a child to hold has become a frustration. We don't have a dishwasher, and getting this thing clean by handwashing is a real trick! I haven't found a bottle brush yet that can handle the curves & truly get it clean (if it fits in the top at all), the top opening is too narrow to stuff a wash cloth down in the cup.
When the top is put on backwards (which is almost impossible to tell with a simple visual check), the liquid POURS out between the cup & the lid. This has been a big source of frustration after several MAJOR spills in the diaper bag when the cup was accidentally placed sideways in the bag! It soaked EVERYTHING in the bag on one occasion. This can be overcome by carefully checking the lid, and shaking the cup upside down (always best done at the sink) to make sure you got the lid on correctly. This is not a cup I can have someone refill for me, though, because the lid almost never gets put back on correctly!
All in all, I think this could be a really neat cup, but it just is not a favorite in our house, because it leaks so badly, and it is frustrating to clean without a dishwasher.
Customer Review: Love it, but cap can be trouble

I have four of these, and I love them and so does my son. We got them when he was 12 months old, and he has never had any trouble drinking from them or holding it. It does leak if you turn it upside down and shake it. And now that my son is 19 months old, he has learned to take the cap off and tries to drink from it or shakes it. I think that is my only complaint, the cap comes off rather easy, not like a screw on one. But other then that, these are really cool. Oh, and I prefer to clean them in the dishwasher, not sure how you would get it totally clean otherwise.
