Baby Products Reviews of Boon Flair Pneumatic Pedestal Highchair - Frosty Blue and WhiteCustomer Review: Best high chair Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best high chair I have ever used. My favorite qualities: ease of cleaning, ability to adjust height, easily moveable with simple wheel lock to keep it stable when in place. I am a grandmother providing full time childcare to a child who was 8 mo when we bought the Boon and is now 14 mo. It has been GREAT! Very easy to clean spilled food. During the day, I wheel the high chair to the kitchen and raise the height, so I can feed my granddaughter while working in the kitchen. In the evenings, her parents wheel her to the dining room table and lower the height so her tray rests on the table...and she eats dinner with her parents.
In the summer, it was easy to take outside for barbecues.
It is also a good looking chair.
Customer Review: Boon high chair Summary: 4 Stars
We bought this for our 6 month old when he was ready to start eating. From the beginning the brake hasn't worked but this hasn't really affected our use of the high chair. We live in a townhouse where we don't have a ton of room so the Boon is perfect for a small condo and it has a contemporary look. I've read that the table is a little small but we are very happy with the overall size. We also use the high chair as a toy for our son as we play choo choo in the house. The only negative is that the chair is not so comfortable for our son. When he goes to his Grandmother's he uses a cheesy brand high chair and never fusses. He cries when we put him in the Boon but this will improve as he sits better. Overall very happy with the boon
Customer Review: Disapointed Summary: 1 Stars
When I received this chair I was so disappointed. The reviews said the tray was small however I did not realize it would be so small that I could not fit a small bowl and a sippy cup on it. The plates I purchased for my son did not fit on it at all. The lift did not work well. I had to really push it hard for it to go down and pull for it to come up. the brake does not work if you have hard wood floors. It doesn't lock the wheels so the chair can still move freely. It is very cute. my son looked adorable in it but for the $$ I want a chair I will be able to use for a long time.
Looks and cleans great, fatal design flaw... Summary: 1 Stars
This chair looks great!!! Beautiful design!!! Cleans easily!!! However, the pedestal design means that the chair has a super-high center of gravity and the chair moves when he does. Add the poor brake mechanism, and our baby (9months) slams himself into the back of the chair, or side to side, rythmically "walking" the chair across the room, and making lots of noise. Because this is more fun for him than eating, mealtime has become a chore.
He's doing it right now. A chair with four solid legs will not move around like this one. I just took him out of the chair and threw the chair out the back door.
Unless your baby doesn't move a muscle while eating, DO NOT buy this chair at any price.
Customer Review: Hooray for Boon Flair Summary: 5 Stars
This is our 2nd highchair and we LOVE it. It seems comfortable for our little girl. The tray is super easy to clean, the chair itself is super easy to clean and wipe down. The pneumatic lift is super easy and convenienet and the rolling base is smooth and a breeze. I cannot complain about this highchair at all. We have had no issues with the tray size being small. If you start with this, your little one will know no different. Well worth the price. FYI - it doesn't quite reach counter height tables and definitely doesn't reach bar height tables, so if you have a higher dining table, you will need to use the tray - it cannot comfortably be used as a toddler chair at these raised heights (especially bar height).
