Customer Review: Doesn't PREVENT Stretch Marks, Not Anti-Itch - May Have Helped Though

I am about 7 months pregnant and have been using this stuff religiously since about 9 weeks. I followed the directions and applied it every night and every morning, especially after I showered. I still, somehow, got stretchmarks. They showed up at about week 27 and have been getting progressively worse. The product claims to reduce the appearance of stretchmarks, but no such luck yet.
I also itch a LOT. This is my first pregnancy; so, I really don't have anything to compare it to. However, I feel like scratching my stomach MANY times a day. Even right after application sometimes.
I also had little red bumps show up, that itch, all over my stomach. But, I've read that this could be a common pregnancy symptom and may not have anything to do with the product.
On the positive side, I am still using this product. My mother and sister had horrible stretchmarks (which is why I was trying to prepare) and they claim that mine aren't as bad. So, perhaps the product helped a little. I am not willing to take the chance of not using it and them getting even worse.

I have tried several types of stretch mark prevention items during my pregnancy. I am currently 35 weeks and this is my favorite product I've tried. So far it has worked the way it should (I don't want to jinx myself :))and I am going to order a 2nd one for the last 5 weeks of my pregnancy. I use it twice a day, once in the morning after my shower and once at night before bed. Some people complained about it being too greasy but I personally love the consistency of this. It is moisturizing enough to keep my skin from feeling tight and the "grease" did not transfer to any of my clothing. Plus it smells really good! I had morning sickness and started out with a scented almond oil and now cannot stand the smell of it. I think if I orginally had started with the Bella B tummy butter I would not have had the same problem because the scent is so light and clean smelling. Also, I did not notice that it lightened my previous stretchmarks from my teenage years as some reviewers said but would still recommend this. This product smells AMAZING! More like a balm than a butter, it's soft and easy to scoop with the fingers, and melts quickly to a thick honey-oil consistency when warmed between the hands. Although it is very slightly greasy when first applied, it soaks in quickly and lasts for hours. Plus it smells sooo good! Very light and subtle, like fresh honey and flowers it smells better than any other stretch mark cream i have tried yet. I just purchased my second order and most likely will purchase again when that runs out. This honey butter costs a little more than some, but I definitely think it's worth it for how great it makes my skin feel. I'm eight months pregnant and so far, no stretch marks! Although, I have also been using regular cocoa butter tummy butter cream as well as the bella bee honey butter so I can't promise which one is responsible for keeping my skin stretch-mark free, but I credit them both for that. Bella B honey butter is so easy to apply, smells great, and lasts all day relieving my tight itchy skin I HIGHLY recommend all pregnant women to try it!Customer Review: pregnancy must-have

I bought this product because I wanted something mostly natural but cannot stand the smell of cocoa butter. This stuff is amazing! It has the most wonderful honey scent and goes on just as it says - like butter. Be warned - some people really dislike the feeling of it. It is MUCH thicker than a lotion and is almost like a salve with a consistency close to that of Neosporin or Vasoline. However, in the second and third trimesters of my pregnancy my belly was so stretched out and itchy that it felt like heaven when I put it on and kept my tummy moisturized all day long. I only used it after a shower and only about once or twice a week as a cautionary step. I would put on my maternity pants (the kind with the stretchy part that goes the whole way up - "secret fit") and that helped to keep the moisture locked in. By the end of the day my skin was sooo soft. I would recommend letting it set on your belly for a few minutes before getting dressed, otherwise it can get kinda gross feeling. I found it to be really beneficial on my hips and inner thighs as well.Customer Review: fingers crossed--only one so far!

I am 36 weeks and 1 day pregnant and I've been using Bella B Tummy Honey Butter since about 15 weeks. I'm on amazon to buy another tub of it b/c I don't want to risk running out before I deliver. I'm really paranoid about being able to wear a swim suit again (I'm only 25!) so I wanted something that WORKS. So far, the only stretch mark I've gotten this pregnancy is a tiny red mark on my belly button piercing, but like I read in another review--that skin was already compromised :)
I like this product because it keeps me moisturized all day long. It is greasy and it will stain your clothes, but that's because it doesn't fully absorb into your skin. If you're wearing maternity jeans that go almost up to your armpits, though, it doesn't matter :) I originally bought a cocoa butter formula during my first trimester, but the smell was so offensive. Just last week I finally threw it away because all these months later, I still can't stand to smell it! I would definitely recommend this product. It's a little pricy, but so worth it.
