Baby Products Reviews of BedBugz Portable Bed Bolster - YellowCustomer Review: Functions well, just stinks Summary: 4 StarsWe got this product to keep our 19 month old in her toddler bed, because she had fallen out a couple of times. It works well and she has yet to climb out over top of it, but I am sure it is only a matter of time. The only complaint I have is that it smells of plastic still--after 2 months. I even deflated it, took the cover off and washed it with dish soap. This did help, but I think I need to wash it again. Anyway, I would recomend washing it with dish soap and drying before putting cover on and inflating--I would wash it once or twice. The smell initially was quite strong--I was worried about her being down there with it since it made the entire room smell of plastic.
Customer Review: It did the trick Summary: 4 StarsWe used this bed rail on a cruise recently. This rail did the job, although it was a loose fit on the bed. I think the loose fit was probably due to the type of bed, i.e. non-standard bed.
I'll definitely use it again.
Customer Review: Great idea! Summary: 5 StarsWe took this on vacation with us and it was perfect for my 2 year old. I used it on a Queen size bed and it fit just fine. You don't need it to cover the full length of the bed, just the length of the child. I never had a problem with it coming loose. It was great to just take it out of the bag, blow it up and then deflate it at the end of the week to put back in the suitcase. I felt very sure that she would not fall out of the bed while I was in another room.
Customer Review: Very good for travel, not 100% secure but pretty good Summary: 4 StarsThese are small and lightweight as advertised, taking up very little space in a suitcase. The bolsters are reasonably secure, but the elastic strap must be put on super tight and tightened multiple times or the bolster will roll easily over the side of the bed. One of my kids did roll over one of them initially, but upon examination, we did not have it on tight enough. We tightened it and it seemed to hold better. (I had two kids in a double bed with one bolster on each side and the crowding contributed to the one rolling off. ) With the strap really tight I felt comfortable using it for travel again. The bolsters are pretty big when blown up, so they take up a lot of the bed, so I think they are best for travel. The deflated size is excellent. From the picture I was concerned the bolster would be made of something of the quality of the materials found in an inexpensive pool-raft. However, I was pleased to see that the bolster is made out of a fairly heavy vinyl-like material which I do not think will puncture easily. Would absolutely recommend for travel, but would suggest a regular side rail for home use.
Customer Review: Very Helpful but Expensive! Summary: 4 StarsI desperately needed this for my grandchild who was to sleep in a twin bed while visiting. I didn't want to pay the price, but could find nothing else. But it works! It was a little confusing to put together, but now that we've used it several times, it is pretty fast to set up. I saved the box and between visits we deflate it and store it, which is convenient and keeps it together. When inflated and placed on the bed, the roll seems a little unstable, but has never fallen off nor moved from the area on the mattress where it was placed. Be aware that what you are buying is one single roll. If I hadn't been able to move the bed against the wall, I would have had to purchase a second unit. Also the cover is of cheap material and not attractive nor soft. We draped the blanket over it.
