Baby Products Reviews of BedBugz Deluxe Portable Bed Bolster with Foot Pump, WhiteCustomer Review: Great alternative to bedrails Summary: 5 Stars
We moved my 2 year old son to a big boy bed. His big boy bed is a full sized bed with a pillow-top mattress. It's my husbands old bed. Rails weren't working with the extra fluffy mattress. After my toddler fell out of his bed and hurt himself, I bought 2 of these. I love that they go the full length of his mattress and help keep him in place in the bed. They are truly wonderful! I don't think they would work well on a bed smaller than a full since I did strap them 2-3 inches from the edge so they would stay put. It is hard to get the elastic strap tight on the mattress and if it is too close to the edge it pops off. So far, my busy toddler has not managed to remove them on his own (he's been trying). I can make his bed over the bolsters but it looks silly (sort of like a bowling alley lane). I don't struggle with having to tuck blankets around rails any longer since I just make the bed over the bolsters. They do smell for a few days strongly of plastic. Once they air out it's no big deal! Love them!
Customer Review: Great option! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great alternative to a hard bed rail or pillows. I use it at home on my king bed when my teething toddler is having a rough night and will only sleep in my bed. I have also used it while traveling. It inflates and deflates fairly easily and is very lightweight and easy to work with. It doesn't take up too much room in the suitcase, either. I'm very happy with my purchase and wish I had bought it sooner.
This is not a substitute for common sense and parental supervision. Children can still wiggle their way under or over it so, as with most things, you still have to monitor them. This absolutely should not be used with infants due to the risk of SIDS.
Customer Review: Perfect for trips! Summary: 5 Stars
We bought this for a 2-week trip where we were going to be staying in hotels. Our toddler moves a lot in her sleep, so she really needs something to stop her from falling out and this worked! No accidents! It was not terribly heavy or bulky (so good for packing in your airplane luggage) and the foot pump allowed us to blow it up in about 15 mins. My husband was not too excited when he saw the foot pump and had wanted to take a much heavier camping pump with us, but I vetoed and he ended up being amazed at how fast I was able to blow the bolster up with the foot pump it came with!
Customer Review: great and practical.... Summary: 4 Stars
I used to have the conventional bed rails, which are very difficult to put together and hard to make the bed. I set up this product in five minutes and it stays tight around the matress. I can switch it to my bed in a blink when my 3 years old falls sleep in my bed.
I advice you that only one BedBugz comes in the box.
Customer Review: worked out great Summary: 5 Stars
We used this bolster when we traveled with my 2 1/2 yr old. It worked out great. No issues at all. Very easy to blow up and let the air down. Very compact. The pump is not the greatest but it did the job.
