Firstly let me say this is a great looking booster seat. I chose to order in spite of some poor reviews about ruined chairs. When it arrived I was careful to check for warnings about using a protective cover but there wasn't one on my booster. Also, I din't notice a bad smell or painted finish so i took a chance and used the booster on a brand new kitchen chair. I decided i would check under the booster regularly to avoid serious damage. However, by the end of the first week the booster had already started stripping the white finish off the chair. I tried using something between the chair and the booster but my toddler kept removing it saying she didn't like it (and it did kind of kill the appearance of the seat as well as making it slippery). The seat definitely has a weird chemical smell now and is starting to bubble around the bottom front edge. I will be returning this seat. Not sure what i can do about the chair though. Honestly, don't risk it unless you're happy to sacrifice a chair you don't care for.Customer Review: Functions well, kids love it, but may damage finishes

We purchased two of these cooshee boosters, one for our 4 year old and another for our 2 year old. The kids love sitting in them. They are soft and clean up easily with a damp cloth.
The one negative I must report is that the foam material they are made of sticks to the surface of the wood chairs we use and when we lift the booster off the chairs, it takes off the finish! The upside is that the booster stays in place, yet, it damages the wood finish. The older wood chairs we use these on are seriously damaged because of this. The finish is actually stuck to the bottom of the booster. When we tried the boosters on more modern wood chairs with a more secure finish, the boosters did not pull off the finish, but left a residue on the wood finish that will not come off.
So, I would suggest using some sort of barrier between the seat and the chair surface (be careful, though, because a booster seat that doesn't stick as well to the seat may not be as secure as you need it).

So far, this product has worked well with my 3 year olds. I use them on padded chairs and I have covered the chairs with ceran wrap to prevent stains from any spills that may happen. These are so much easier to clean up than their high chairs... I wish I would have bought these sooner!
On a down side, the "Blue Bird" color is not accurate as shown. The actual color is not what I thought ("teal blue"), but looks much closer to the "Navy" color option shown. I did some additional searching online and found that other sites show a more accurate photo of the color (see epinions.com). Had I known, I would have ordered the hunter green for my daughter (she liked both of them). The "Raspberry" color is a very nice shade of pink (a bit darker than the "bubble gum" color shown in the photo).
But overall, the seat is comfortable and easy to clean. My daughters love carrying them around the house to sit and play various activities.

This had been recommended by a friend but the price tag and no straps rather put me off as my son was still very young, however when Kid #2 needed a booster seat we passed the old one over, and decided to get the Cooshee for my 2.5yr old (approx. recommended age to start using it). He totally adores it and it makes him feel very grown up, especially that there are no straps like his baby sister's! We have wooden chairs and the little suction indents on the base are fantastic, we've never had a problem of it sliding off. (Not sure if it would work with 'cushioned' seats.) Perfect height too - he knees now don't knock against the under part of the table. In short: Perfect seat for a 2.5+yr old and WELL, WELL WORTH EVERY CENT!Customer Review: Good, but I'm fine with my 'traditional one'

I bought this for my nephew. He's about 2.5 years old and on the top of the growth chart. He likes using it, and it's really nice if you like modern looking devices. I have heard these do wear out, so longevity may be an issue if you are passing them on from child to child.
Personally, I like my traditonal Fisher Price Bosster seat. Well not for me, for my son. He likes it, and my wife likes it because it's easy to clean. M<ost likely it will alst through a couple of kids better than this one.
If looks or having something your friends don't have is more important, this will be fine.
