Baby Products Reviews of Baby Trend Single Snap N' Go Stroller

Customer Review: Despite a few flaws, I love it!
Summary: 4 Stars

This stroller has its flaws, but its light weight and ease of use makes the problems easy to overlook. It fits in the trunk of our car with room to spare (it's a major struggle to get our Graco travel system stroller in there), and is very easy to open and close with one-hand (just be sure the tabs that lock the carseat in are folded out before you try to close it).
It is narrow enough to take into stores, and sturdy enough that I take it on long, uphill hikes with some unpaved areas. I've never had the problem one reviewer did of it tipping. We use the Graco Snugride carseat with it.
The basket is not in a great position, but you can lift the child's seat up a little bit to pull things out if you have to. I've loaded that basket down with diaper bag and groceries, but a gallon of milk was finally too heavy and caused a couple of small tears in the fabric.
It has a great little compartment that I store my wallet in, and two cup holders that I usually use to store my keys and toys. DO NOT use the cupholders for hot beverages. EVERY time I put a coffee in there, it has spilled.
Also, be sure to keep your child strapped into his or her carseat when using the Snap-n-Go as the carseat rests in the stroller at about a 60 degree angle.
My daughter is nearly out of the infant carseat now and I am bummed that I will have to find something to replace the Snap-n-Go.

Customer Review: Graco SnugRide 35 can be used for this stroller
Summary: 4 Stars

It is not clear from the packaging, but the Graco SnugRide 35 fits this stroller. However, Baby Trend warns in its manual that the frame will suffer "excessive wear and tear" if it carries over 40 pounds. Given that my SnugRide weighs about 10 pounds, I will probably have to find another stroller when my baby is reaching 30 pounds.
I have used this stroller for about 6 weeks, and I agree with the other reviewers' assessments about the product. It is very light, easy to fold, and doesn't take up excessive space. It wheels smoothly in malls and well-paved sidewalks (I can't speak to its "off-road" capabilities, as I haven't had an opportunity to take my baby in rough terrain). As many of the other reviewers noted, you have to lift up the car seat if you need to get to a diaper bag or other medium/large items from the stroller's basket. I would give this stroller 5 stars if it weren't for this issue with the basket.
I bought this stroller over the Graco Stroller Frame because I liked that it had 2 regular sized cup holders, while the Graco had only one holder and then an oddly shaped holder. I then learned that you can't put hot drinks in any of these frames because the risk of it spilling on baby. If I realized that from the start, I may have more considered the Graco, though so far, this Snap N Go has been awesome.

Customer Review: FITS MY MAZDA RX8
Summary: 5 Stars

I just wanted to say that this product is a life saver. I haven't used it yet because baby isn't due till September. But we were in search of a stroller that would fit in the trunk of my tiny Mazda RX8. A couple of friends recommended the Baby Trend Snap N Go, so we read reviews and did our research. We initially had bought the Chicco Cortina travel system, which we LOVE! But did not fit in my RX8's trunk. So, we'll just use the Chicco when we ride in my husband's truck. The Baby Trend Snap N Go works great with our Chicco Key Fit 30 car seat. Grant it,it does not snap in... but it's a very snug fit. Even when we tipped the stroller over, the car seat stayed put. We placed a 7.5 lb weight in the car seat, and the car seat still remained put. The Snap N Go folds down very compact. The red clip to make the stroller remain closed works wonderfully. It's only on one side of the stroller, so when closed it looks a little lop sided. But that's not a big deal. Just cosmetic. We pushed the stroller around the house and it rides smooth. The tires look a little cheap in comparison to the Chicco's but I think it's fine.. it's not like we're going to be pushing it on grass or gravel. The one handed fold is a cinch. So far.. very happy with this product and has greatly resolved our issue on finding a stroller that fits in my RX8.

Customer Review: Great carseat carrier, very portable
Summary: 4 Stars

We really liked the chicco keyfit 30 carseat and were debating between the chicco travel system and this snap n go to use with the carseat. We decided on the snap n go because it is light weight, easy to fold and put in trunk (with one hand), and an added bonus was it was inexpensive. Many people said the travel systems were very bulky and cumbersome. We have been extremely happy with it. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because it can be very difficult to remove items (i.e. diaper bags) from the bottom carrying basket... it is usually necessary to remove the carseat from the carrier to easily access the storage basket. If the snap n go had a hinged basket door at the back that you could drop down to access the basket it would really help.

Also noteworthy is the keyfit30 does not snap into this snap n go frame. Many retailers say this is very dangerous, and that the keyfit30 and the snap n go are not compatible for this reason. However after researching many people use the keyfit30 with the snap n go frame with no problems, and likewise we have had no problems as well. Although it does not snap, it is a very snug and secure fit. The strap/buckle system adds extra security to ensure the keyfit30 stays in the snap n go frame.

I highly recommend the snap n go carrier frame.

Customer Review: I want to love it
Summary: 4 Stars

This stroller frame is light weight, compact and very easy to open up and use. However, the steering/control is a real issue. I wish the manufacturer would look into this because I think it would be absolutely perfect if I could push the stroller, look away for a second and not run into the grass. We use this stroller mainly when we go for walks around the neighborhood. The problem we run into is when two pieces of sidewalk are not the same height we have to lift the front of the stroller to get over them. I'm talking about maybe an inch difference in height. Most neighborhoods do not have perfect side walks so we are either lifting the stroller every 2 minutes or we're walking in the street.

Other than that this stroller is really great. Some people seem concerned about the security of the stroller and yeah, if the stroller were to tip over I'd be very concerned that the car seat would slip out. However, if you're doing normal walking and everything is tight like it's supposed to be I don't see how safety is a concern. I have never been worried about safety when I have my baby in this stroller. The belt is very tight and goes right under the little plastic hooks on my snugride.
