Customer Review: Not for use with cloth diapers!

I bought the Diaper Champ based on all the positive reviews. Contrary to what it says in the description, this is NOT a good product for cloth diapers!
About 75% of times we put our cloth diapers into the champ they would get stuck when trying to drop into the bag. And these are newborn sized diapers... the problem would just get worse with older kids. I called the company of Diaper Champ to try and solve the problem and they informed me that the Diaper Champ is not for use with cloth diapers!!
With that said, I can see how this would be a good diaper pail for those using disposables. It is easy and quick to use.

Diaper Champ vs. Diaper Genie...
Diaper Champ wins by 1 reason alone - they DO NOT REQUIRE you to buy their bags. Any trash bag will do. We bought a box of 500 trash bags for ten dollars; Diaper Gennie will only work with Diaper Genie Bags which are expensive.
Besides that, I chose this one because as we were doing our registry, a FATHER came up and told us to get it (no smells, easy to use, compact), with his 2 kids and a pregnant wife.
Baby in 1 hand, dirty diaper in the other, drop diaper in pail, flip bar, diaper is secured in bin. You only need 1 hand to use it. It's secure, it doesn't wobble.
The pail WILL SMELL when you open it to change the bag for a new one. Otherwise, it keeps all the nasty smells inside the bin. We keep ours in the garage (have had it for 9 months) and have had no problems with smells (regardless of the weather 10- to 98 degrees). I estimate it holds up to 16 soiled diapers (we put the dirty wipes inside the dirty diaper so they are bulky).

OK............. I purchased my diaper at a thrift store for babies. It was just like brand new and I only paid [...] for it. I like it. You do have to keep the bag changed in it or else you will smell dirty diapers, but it is housing poop!! I let it air out and keep Lysol sprayed and it works for us.

We have used this diaper pail since the day my daughter was born and it is great! We use all those plastic bags you get at the grocery store to collect the diapers and haven't spent one penny on fancy diaper genie bags! The pail is really simple and easy to use and you won't have problems with stick unless you are waiting a long time to empty it. And with as many diapers as a newborn goes through a day that wont be a problem! Great product, would recommend to everyone I know who has a baby!Customer Review: So pleased with this product!

I have had my diaper champ for over 5 months now, and so far, it is great at keeping stinky odors at bay. We'll see how it holds up when baby starts on solids, but thus far I love it. It's so easy to use and change, more than the Diaper Genies appear to be.
