Baby Products Reviews of Baby Einstein Take Along TunesCustomer Review: My daughter loves the lights and music! Summary: 4 Stars
My 8 month old loves the lights and classical tunes! The colorful handle and small-ish size are easy for her to grip. This toy takes a beating and plays like new every time. WHen she starts to lose interest in her other toys or when in the car, I just activate this and she's happy for as long as it plays. The only issue she has is pressing the button. I thought, because of its large size, it would be relatively easy for her to activate on her own. The button takes a little force and, even though she's had it for 5 months, she still has difficulty turning it on herself. It would also be nice if the tunes played a little bit longer, or had the option for short and extended play time, but that wouldn't stop me from recommending this item to any parent.
Customer Review: Beloved Toy Summary: 5 Stars
The Baby Einstein Takealong Tunes was a gift to my grandson when he was about three months old. From the beginning, he enjoyed the music and flashing lights. Now nearly 9 months old, he still loves the toy and has learned to press the button himself to start or change melodies when he wants. The tunes are well-known themes by Mozart, Vivaldi, Chopin and Rossini, which explains why they are so engaging for children and not annoying for adults to hear repeatedly.
I agree with other reviewers that the plastic is very hard, but I've observed with my children and grandchildren that babies seem to survive the occasional head-bonk with no ill effects. My personal nit is that I wish the speaker were positioned on the front of the toy.
Customer Review: The BEST Infant Toy We Could Find Summary: 5 Stars
Our baby is 3 months old, and loves to look at lights, especially those that move or flash. That being said, those items are hard to find. Most only play about 3 seconds of songs and lights, then you have to activate them again. This toy has 1 large, kid friendly button that activates it. They are then treated to about a minute of classical music while 7 LED lights of different colors flash to the beat. It has made a huge impression on our little one, and brought great relief to us. The music is no CD quality, but is non verbal classical (you have heard all of the songs before) and it is not as annoying as other toys. It doesn't bother us a bit, but we are former classical musicians. For $10 (or less) IT CAN'T BE BEAT!!
Customer Review: GREAT diaper bag toy Summary: 5 Stars
I am a first time mom, and my mother in law bought this for my daughter. It is absolutely fantastic and so easy to transport. MY daughter just loves it, and is transfixed when I play it for her; it has two sound levels as well: loud and soft (and neither is annoying at all).
Want to know how good it works??
We were getting my daughter's shots, and after receiving them we waited for the Dr. I took this puppy out and turned it on, and it calmed her down right away.
Great toy for the diaper bag!
Another great diaper bag toy is the Bright Starts Snuggle & Teether Lion. My daughter loves it, and again, it can be folded nice and compact and into the diaper bag for on the go.
Customer Review: GREAT toy but POOR quality! Summary: 3 Stars
I'm surprised more people haven't had this problem with the "button" wearing off. My daughter absolutely loves this toy and is by far her favorite. Out of all her toys, both expensive and inexpensive, she always chooses this one. But I noticed that shortly after she started playing with it, the sticker on the button started coming off & is now completely gone. She was even eating a piece of it one time & I contacted customer service who is now sending me a replacement sticker. But even that, I am afraid will come off whole and she will eat that as well. Again, this toy is awesome...the songs are not annoying and it's small enough to bring with you anywhere you go, but keep an eye out for the sticker!
