Customer Review: The Speakers are blown out

We received this as a gift, and our son loves staring at the star. Our complaint is that it only plays four songs, that aren't very long, and get very annoying for mom and dad!! The speakers sound like they have been blown out, when we only play it on the soft volume, this happened in just a few weeks. This makes the songs even more annoying. For some reason this doesn't seem to affect baby, so I have to use headphones when he is listening to it to keep my sanity! Also it doesn't have much to interact besides the lighting up star. Fischer Price has a jungle theme gym with tons more things for only $10 more.Customer Review: It's all about the STAR !!!

This playmat is probably like all the others, EXCEPT for that singing star ! It is the best and lights up too, captivating our son for 30 minutes! Our friends have one too and agree about the star. so, if you can find a cheaper mat with some singing thing in the middle get it, but the BE star is guaranteed :} It is velcro so you can take it off and attach it to anything else too ...the only drawback? It only plays for a few minutes and then you have to press it again. However, this is fine since I have to check on my baby anyway. I don't understand 'short play' mode, seems useless. * add to your registry :}Customer Review: My son loves it!

My son loves this mat, and plays for 10-20 minutes at a time. I bought other toys to hang from the various loops, as the ones included are very basic (no sounds, nothing to pull...). I really like that the 'bars' meet at the middle, as my son likes to look directly up at something. All the toys are within his reach when he is laid in the center of the mat, and he 'discovers' different toys on different days. I wish the music were less tinny, although all the baby toys I own have the same tinny sound.Customer Review: second round and going!

My daughter loves the gym, but unlike her big brother, she doesn't like the star! At first we even though she didn't like it at all because every time we put her there with the star on she would start crying, until one time we forgot to turn it on and she loved it, she plays with all the toys hanging. It's been almost 5 years since my oldest son played on the gym and is still working. Great quality.Customer Review: Great Toy

My son used this play mat from birth to about 9 months old. He loved the music and all the hanging attachments. He actually played with a lot of the attachments separate from the play mat, but got a lot of use out of them- they were some of his favorites as an infant. I can't really say how it compares to other play mats, but I would recommend this one to other parents.
