Baby Products Reviews of Baby Einstein Neptune SootherCustomer Review: Got this as a gift Summary: 5 Stars
We got this as a gift when our twins were born and they loved it. You can play either music or white noise and the fish "swim" across the screen. As it plays, the volume gradually decreased until it shuts itself off. It is one of the best baby gifts that we received! When we eventually moved the boys into separate cribs, we had to find another one so that they both could have one. We have had two of these for some time now and have not experienced any of the "issues" that some other reviewers have reported.
Customer Review: Bedtime Soother Summary: 4 Stars
We have had this toy since my son was born. We have used it almost every night and for most naps. It gives him something that is calming to watch and he drifts off to sleep with the soothing "water" sound. I gave 4 stars because it seems to go through batteries fast. We used the rechargeable, so I feel better about that. He loves it and even though he has flipped it upside down over the crib it keeps working. It seems durable and is in perfect working order after 14months. It is still one of my fav gifts.
Customer Review: A lifesafer! Summary: 5 Stars
We got this product when my son was about 2 months old. I agree, it goes through batteries quickly. We ended up getting 8 rechargeable C batteries and a good charger. My son is 1 year old now, and we are still using the original rechargeable batteries (we rotate a set of 4 every week). My son loves his fish and it helps him fall asleep at night because it gives him something to watch as he is drifting off. I am currently pregnant again and will be purchasing a second soother for the new baby.
Customer Review: works great! Summary: 5 Stars
I had to get a new soother when my hand-me-down Rainforest crib soother died. I tried this one and I'm glad I did.
Reasons:
1. No serious 'motor' noise (nothing my baby can't handle)
2. You can change the batteries without taking it off the bed. (HUGE selling point for me)
3. When she's older it will stand on it's own on a nightstand to provide a cord-free nightlight.
4. Has a nice 'crib check' feature
5. 25 minute play time w/gradual shut off.
Customer Review: good idea, broke after 3 months Summary: 2 Stars
Purchased two, we have 9 month old twins. Loved the progressive shut down and the ability to have white noise or music. Began to use them at 6 months. In three months have replaced the batteries once, pretty good since we use it every night. One seems to be short circuiting and the other has a dead motor now. Bought a new pack of brand name batteries yesterday and the fish tank just will not work at all, no lights, no music, nothing. What a bummer. Baby wants his fish tv.
