Baby Products Reviews of Baby Einstein Neptune SootherCustomer Review: Disappointing Baby Einstein Product Summary: 2 Stars
I'm usually a fan of Baby Einstein products, but this one was a disappointment. The biggest problem is that the admittedly cute and colorful creatures stopped "swimming" after only 2 months. Also, I found the background lighting to be too bright. My baby would often squint and turn away from the harsh light. I felt like I was forcing her to watch TV in her crib! I chose this soother because I like the gradual shutdown, the length of the playtime and the remote control. The first two features were nice; the remote control worked only sometimes even at short range. So, while this soother has some nice features, overall it was not worth the money.
Customer Review: DISAPPOINTED !!!! Summary: 2 Stars
I was very excited when my Baby Einstein Great Barrier Reef Soother arrived. I couldn't wait to open the box! I bought this item especially because of the fact that it could sit on a table when it was being played for my grandaughter. I was really disppointed when it began to play. The moving fish and music were nice, but the sound of the running motor was extrememly loud! It was very distracting and I had a hard time hearing the music. I read all the previous reviews and none of them mentioned the motor's sound being a problem. So, I figured it was a defect of the machine and it wasn't working properly and I returned it the next day.
Customer Review: Great customer service Summary: 4 Stars
Product performed perfectly for about a month. Then the batteries died... or so I thought. I changed the batteries twice and the unit just refused to turn on for longer than a couple of seconds. I put it away thinking it was just a crappy item. Then today I decided I would call Baby Einstein's customer service just for the heck of it to see if they could help me out. I didnt have the box or the receipt. Anyway, I called and within 5 minutes I had them sending me out a brand new unit, no questions asked. The product itself is great... my son doesnt use it to sleep, but he likes to press the button and watch the turtles and fish go by.
Customer Review: Great distraction! Summary: 4 Stars
MY 4 month old likes his sea dreamer. He doesnt usually fall asleep with it though, if it is on and he isnt totally asleep he wakes right up and talks to it.
The bad part is that my remote doesnt work very well, especially when I need it the most, like when he wakes up a little I cant just peak my head in and turn it on I have to go in and turn it back on manually which means he sees me and then wants to get up. The times it does work however are great he goes right back to sleep.
All in all I like it, more as a distraction so I can get a few more things done around the house before he starts to really cry.
Customer Review: terrible quality and battery sucker Summary: 1 Stars
This thing sucks. I got two cuz we have twins and they both were terrible, which tells me odds are, they are all made badly. A few of you mentioned battery suck -- you go that right! I must have gone through 30 batteries before I gave up on these little machines, just on principle of being green not to mention they don't work! The remotes never worked once. The thing is too loud and bright when it does work. We found it sometimes impossible to start and sometimes impossible to stop! I'll stop the rant because I returned it and got my money back. Spare yourself the aggravation and find another fun toy for your crib :)
