Baby Products Reviews of Baby Einstein Neptune Ocean Adventure Gym

Customer Review: good for a gym
Summary: 4 Stars

My baby likes the gym! Granted I have bought extra links that hang down and have other toys that I attached to it as well but overall my daughter likes it. I put the mirror up in the center of the beams of the gym and she will talk talk talk to it. Like what another reviewer said "No gym is going to be absolutely perfect" but this gets the job done and for the amount of time my baby has used it and had fun with it, it is worth the money. I like it overall and could point out the little things that are not as great but really it doesn't matter because my daughter really likes playing on it regardless if the music is playing or not.

Customer Review: Great entertainer!!!! (Mom of 4 month old)
Summary: 5 Stars

My son loves this gym. He squeals and chatters away while playing on it. It has been a lifesaver for me due to Jack being such a high need baby (Needs to be held most of the time, and more fussy than not). He has spent over 45 minutes playing on this mat!!! The music is really fun, and the lights are a nice touch. Jack has been using this from about 2 months of age on, and loves to grab and shake the rattle (which is not cloudy on my mat) and will grab and shake the other toys at the same time. It is so much fun to hear him having such a good time : )

Customer Review: Excellent for the first year
Summary: 5 Stars

Starting as a newborn, my son would just lie on his back and stare at this thing, batting it around occasionally, for almost an hour at a time. Anyone with a newborn knows that is precious, precious time for you to do something else, while keeping an eye on the baby, of course. As he got older, he'd start to teeth on the dangling things, then he eventually would sit under it, still playing, and he's 12 months now, so it's disassembled (it takes up a lot of space), but he still plays with all the toys and links it came with.

Customer Review: Mediocre
Summary: 3 Stars

I received this at my baby shower and my 2 month old does enjoy it. However, I added my own toys (Lamaze peacock and Sassy rings). I purchased the Fisher Price Rainforest mat for my mother's house and it is soooooo much better. The toys are nicer, the lights are up at the top, and he just seemed a lot more excited about it. Plus it was way more easy to assemble than the Einstein one - it was a real pain in the a** to put together! So, yes, it does keep him entertained but I had to add some toys to it.

Customer Review: Feels Cheap Compared to Other Playmats
Summary: 2 Stars

I chose this playmat because of the positive reviews. I was disappointed. I received a Tiny Love playmat as a gift, and I highly recommend it over this one. My biggest issue is the cheapness of the material--both the feel and the images. There's little threads hanging out all over it. It's also more complicated to put together compared to Tiny Love. The hanging toys are mediocre at best. There's one rattle my twins really enjoy so I actually tranferred it to the other playmat.
