I got this at Toys R Us, not Amazon, but it gets great reviews on the TRU website too. I think it must be because of the musical piece with flashing lights that comes with it. Babies will probably stare at it for hours. But that's not the point of a baby GYM. They're supposed to INTERACT with their toys, not just lay there and stare. I honestly think this is the worst gym ever - it defeats the entire purpose of a baby gym unless you remove the music/lights device. And then you're left with a few so-so interesting toys. Sure, you can hang your own toys, but really it's a baby gym with not so interesting toys, it's pretty obvious they just intend for baby to lay there and stare as these flashing lights. Are they trying to induce seizures in kids or something? This is honestly one of the lamest baby toys I've seen.Customer Review: Great Product

My little guy has been using this for 2 months now (he's 4 months now) and he really enjoys it. He constantly kicks at the toy bar, which changes the music (I don't know if he realizes that yet though). I like the options for the music and all the loops to put toys on. You can change it up as often as you like, it's really easy. I can usually get 10-20 minutes of time for myself while he's under this gym. My only complaint is that the fabric is so soft and silky that it doesn't work well for tummy time. He just slides around on it. The same goes for the stuffed whale toy it comes with it. It's supposed to be used as a prop pillow but it's slippery and a weird shape to be used for this.Customer Review: Must Have!

The baby einstein products are so colorful and engaging to my daughter. I bought this because it is gender neutral and came with a lot of toys attached. When comparing to other brands they did not include as many activities for baby. She loves all the sea creatures and after months of play it still looks new. I cleans easily with a damp cloth. The only negative is to put it away you have to take off the cross bars which can be a pain but frankly we rarely put it away since she loves it! Overall a great buy. I bought mine at diapers.com. BEWARE: The ocean discovery cards featuring real life images of 6 underwater animals have "stickers" on the plastic circles which can be chewed off. Very poor choice of material for this age group which put everything in their mouth. I took these attachments away, but absolutely love everything else about the gym. I would have given it 5 stars otherwise. My son started rolling within a day of using this mat. The colorful mat gave him a great incentive to want to be on his tummy. The octopus is designed very well because it hangs above his head but he can pull it down and it reaches perfectly to chew on. My son, 3 months, loves this and his older brother, 28 months, loves to play with him in it as well. It has captured my 3 month old's attention for over 1/2 an hour. He played and excersized so hard that he even has fallen asleep on it. You can use the big whale as a pillow because the pad really isnt that padded. Very easy to put together and all the attachments can be moved around to however you like and more can be added. The music is very pleasant and soft there are different modes and options as well. Looking forward to watching this grow with him. That is what is so great! I know that if you purchased this you wouldn't be disapointed.
