Baby Products Reviews of Baby Einstein Discover and Play Activity CenterCustomer Review: This product makes my son so happy! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this item for my 4 month old because he loves to stand up while being held. This toy gives my arms a break because I can only hold him up for so long! He can put his feet at the bottom on the lowest setting with no problem at 4 months. He is on the tall side though, so some babies might not be able to reach until they are a little older. He loves to play with pretty much all of the toys. He loves to babble to many of the toys. He especially loves the spinning toys and the musical animal buttons. These have 2 volume settings and an on/off switch which is nice. The only toy he doesn't really like is the dragon puppet; he was scared of it at first, but now it is okay. I just left it off for a few weeks until he decided it was not scary anymore. I would definitely recommend this product.
Customer Review: Reviews helped me purchase this item Summary: 5 Stars
This is my first review online ever and thought I should start. I have based all of my purchase decisions for my new baby boy on reviews and once again this "technique" has not failed on me. This activity center is GREAT. I was a little concerned my little one would be too small and not ready for this. However, since he can hold his head up, I thought I may give it a try. Well, we put him in last night (had to put some blankets around him due to his small size) and the sun caught his attention immediately. My husband then started flicking it and suddenly, my little one started laughing so hard. This is the first time he has actually laughed this hard. To make the long story short, my baby played in there for about an hour last evening and slept real good last night. I guess he had fun!
Customer Review: Entertains baby, but poor construction Summary: 3 Stars
We've had this for a few months now and already had to order two replacement toys. The spinners no longer make sounds and my daughter can pull the book right off. This is described as "rocking," but that means an active child (like my 8-month-old) can rock it right off its stand. She can't tip it over, but she can move it all over the place.
That said, she does love playing in it for about 20 minute stretches. She especially loves the animal sound/ music box. She enjoys being able to move herself around and rediscovering each new toy. Standing up in it has made her legs and upper body stronger, too.
The concept of these activity centers/ "exersaucers" is great, but they need to have extremely sturdy construction. This one doesn't have it.
Customer Review: A hit from the minute she got in Summary: 4 Stars
My daughter just turned 5 months old & she loved it from the minute I put her in. She spun around trying every toy out & is almost beside herself with excitement whenever she's in it. I'd say a must have. We also have a Merry Muscles bouncer that she loves but this gives her activities & learning as well as activity. We could have put her in it a few weeks earlier.
Warning about putting it together. Make sure you read the poor directions. I hate reading directions & I put the cover to the seat on wrong & it was almost impossible to get off.
The only other con is that it's a bit of an eye sore. Wish toys could be better looking. The babies can't see the bottom & feet couldn't it be gray or something that wasn't such a carnival.
Customer Review: Wonderful entertainment for baby and great help for grandma! Summary: 5 Stars
It's a well-built, well-thought out toy. Baby loves each and every colorful "station" in the circle, he quickly learned to move from one to the other, and to use each one. He loves the freedom "standing up" gives him and the feeling of power and control he gets from being able to do something by himself. My grandson is only four months old and I am sure that I will get many more weeks or months of use and my grandson will continue to enjoy it and continue to enjoy playing, perfecting his movements, and learning. I also will have the pleasure of watching him enjoy his toy and smile happily at me when he feels he has done something wonderful. I wish I'd had it when my own children were babies, but it's a joy to see my grandchild enjoy himself.
