These toy bars that attach to the handle of car seats are fine for when the baby is in the car seat, but NOT WHEN TRAVELLING. All car seats must have the handle locked back when the vehicle is moving. Failure to do so increases the risk that the handle will shatter into the baby's face in the event of an accident. Instead, try one like Tiny Love's Super Car Bar, which has a nylon strap that slides underneath the car seat to keep the toy in a perfect playing position in front of baby so baby can have fun playing while driving in the car with no additional safety risk!Customer Review: Good attention getter for awhile...

I bought this for my daughter when she was about 6 wks to entertain her while riding in the car. She was intrigued by it immediately. She's 4 months now & I still use it. The music seems to calm her down sometimes when nothing else would work. I think she may be getting bored with it now so I just bought another hanging Baby Einstein product.
One thing I didn't like was how it attached to the car seat handle. As another reviewer stated, it's in the way when putting a baby in or out of the seat & seems to hang in an awkward position.

This is by far my favorite gift recieved. I dont know how it has such few stars because I would give it 5 1/2 if I could. My 3 month old son, Cameron is facinated by the colors and movements when strapped to the handle of his carseat (and it is Graco)! When I play the music, he gets even more excited. Above all other toys, ranging to hundreds of dollars, Cameron seems most in love with this! It also is the first thing that got him to reach for something. I would recommend it to anyone! My baby boy loves this toy bar and so I'm glad we have it. It's been a lifesaver on vacations when he's in his carseat a long time. He didn't start actually playing with it until he was 4 months old but still liked looking at it earlier on. However, it's a bit of a pain when you have to pull the shade over the carseat to have to remove first (although removing is easy). Also, you aren't supposed to drive with the handle up (carseat guidelines/law) so this really isn't a 'good idea' although we still do (bad parent!!).Customer Review: It is SO loud!

We loved this item when our daughter was in her infant carrier. She loves any Einstein and this item was no different. She would sit there and bat at the fish and watch Neptune bob around. She also loved the music. The only problem was that it was way too loud for an infant! My husband but 25 layers of masking tape across the speaker to get it to a level that wasn't deafing. It also got a little annoying when it would play the some songs over and over. So it's good item that just needs a bit of improving.
